For local users in search of an exceptional "camping near me" experience with a plethora of amenities, Bayley's Camping Resort, located at 275 Pine Point Rd, Scarborough, ME 04074, USA, stands out as a highly recommended destination. Based on enthusiastic reviews from returning guests, this resort offers a wide array of activities, excellent service, and a welcoming environment for families and even their furry companions.
One reviewer, who travels from upstate NY multiple times a year, speaks volumes about the appeal of Bayley's Camping Resort. They highlight the resort's extensive offerings and the "amazing" staff, specifically commending the office manager, Sarah, as "the best!" This level of consistent satisfaction from a frequent visitor underscores the quality of the resort. The reviewer also notes that Bayley's is loved by their entire family, including their kids and dogs, and they enthusiastically recommend it to everyone they know, indicating its broad appeal.
Another guest described the place as "pretty great," noting that while campsites were close, they still provided "enough space that you felt that it was your own space." This suggests a balance between a community feel and individual privacy. A significant draw of Bayley's appears to be its impressive amenities, including "4 pools" and "3 cool fishing ponds," offering ample opportunities for recreation and relaxation. The availability of a "free trolley to the beaches" is also highlighted as a "huge benefit," making it easy for guests to enjoy the nearby coastline without the hassle of parking.
The atmosphere at Bayley's is described as "quiet and relaxing," which is often a priority for those seeking a peaceful getaway. The staff is characterized as "polite and not overbearing," allowing guests to enjoy themselves while ensuring that noise levels are respectful of other campers. The fact that this reviewer had already booked for the following year speaks volumes about their positive experience.
However, the same reviewer did mention one area for improvement: the mini-golf course, which they felt was not well-maintained. They suggested that it should be a free activity, as they did not believe it justified the $24 cost for their family of four, advising others to not spend their money on it. This provides an objective point for potential visitors to consider regarding the resort's offerings.

Bayley's Camping Resort Reviews
We make our way from upstate NY at least 4 times a year. The resort offers so much to do and the staff is amazing! Sarah the office manager is the best! We don’t know who loves Bayley’s more. Us, our kids, or our dogs! We tell everyone we know about the resort!
Jan 11, 2025 · Steve CoughlinPlace was pretty great campsites were close but provided enough space that you felt that it was your own space. 4 pools 3 cool fishing ponds. The free trolley to the beaches was a huge benefit. It was quiet and relaxing. Staff were polite and over bearing they let you enjoy yourself as long as you were not loud and impeding on other campers. We have already booked for next year. The on complaint I have is that the mini golf course is not really maintained any more. It should be free to play but it cost my family of 4 $24. Don't spend your money on it. Bayleys please change this to a free activity.
Jul 20, 2024 · Jason KimballTo check in, you stand outside and go to a counter and hope it isn’t raining . The park has the most amenities I have ever seen and is clean. It looks like gravel might have been on the site at one time. There was a 24 hour rain our 2nd day there and everyone was burning the damp wood the next night, creating so much smoke we couldn’t walk around the park. The parents were louder than the kids who were running around without supervision. We almost got hit by drunk golf cart drivers. I would not return on a weekend but weekdays seemed fine.
Oct 02, 2024 · Kathleen SouthThe food at the restaurant is phenomenal and I want to really thank the chef(s) for cooking my food! I got the Standard Sandwich, The sausage is a bit spicy but amazing! When you come here you have to try the restaurant right next to the pool! Sincerely, Emerson
Aug 11, 2024 · Emerson ODonoghueThis is my favorite campground by a mile! The people here are so friendly and accommodating, the campground facilities are clean and well kept, the kids activities are top notch, and the free trolly to Old Orchard Beach and Pine Point Beach is so convenient and the drivers are AMAZING. The nightly entertainment is also outstanding, especially the hypnotist. There are three nice pools, several playgrounds, two stores, a mini golf course, several ponds for fishing, and a really great restaurant with a huge selection of foods and decent prices. There’s also an adult pool with its own bar and restaurant that’s also very good! They serve a yummy brunch too. I really can’t say enough about Bayley’s. We travel 9.5 hours to come here each year and when we arrive, it simply feels like home. Old Orchard Beach is beautiful and is just a 5 minute trolly ride away. Just come! And don’t forget to bring your boogie boards!!
