For local users in Maine and those seeking an exceptional "camping near me" experience along the vibrant southern coast, Paradise Park Resort Campground, located at 50 Adelaide Rd, Old Orchard Beach, ME 04064, stands out as a highly recommended destination. Based on enthusiastic customer reviews, this campground offers a unique blend of welcoming atmosphere, convenient amenities, well-maintained facilities, and a prime location near the popular Old Orchard Beach.
The environment of Paradise Park Resort Campground benefits from its setting in Old Orchard Beach, a well-known coastal town in Maine. This location provides easy access to the sandy beaches of the Atlantic Ocean, as highlighted by the "10 minute walk to the beach" mentioned in a review. Beyond the immediate coastal attractions, the campground itself features a "lake filled with bass and sunfish," offering a different type of natural environment and recreational opportunity for fishing enthusiasts. One reviewer also appreciated the "white balcony" (likely associated with a common area or specific type of accommodation) providing pleasant views of changing leaves and the presence of local wildlife like ducks and other "critters," suggesting a blend of coastal proximity and inland natural charm.
Paradise Park Resort Campground offers a comprehensive range of services and features that contribute to a comfortable and enjoyable stay, as praised by its guests:
- Friendly and Welcoming Staff: A recurring theme in the reviews is the exceptional friendliness and welcoming nature of the staff. One solo camper specifically noted never feeling "weird" or unwelcome, highlighting the inclusive atmosphere of the campground. This positive interaction with staff contributes significantly to the overall "good vibes" reported by visitors.
- Reasonable Tent Site Costs: For tent campers, the cost of a site is considered quite reasonable, especially when compared to other campgrounds along the Maine coast. This makes Paradise Park Resort Campground an attractive and budget-friendly option for those who prefer tent camping.
- Hot Showers: Access to hot showers is a significant amenity for any camper, and Paradise Park Resort Campground provides this comfort for its guests.
- Strong Wifi: In today's connected world, strong wifi is a valuable asset, especially for those who need to work remotely or simply want to stay connected. One reviewer specifically emphasized the importance of the strong wifi for their remote work.
- Fishing Lake: The presence of a lake stocked with bass and sunfish offers a relaxing recreational activity for anglers of all levels right within the campground.
- Easy Beach Access: The campground is conveniently located within a 10-minute walk to the beach, allowing guests to easily enjoy the sun, sand, and surf of Old Orchard Beach without the need for driving or parking hassles.
- Spacious and Shaded Tent Sites: The owners are commended for their effort in making the tent sites particularly nice, with "lots of space" and "tons of shade." Additionally, most tent sites are described as "nice and level," ensuring a more comfortable camping experience. This focus on tent campers is noteworthy, as the reviewer observed that many Maine coast campgrounds primarily cater to RVs.
- Clean Amenities: Overall, the amenities are described as "nice and clean," contributing to a positive and comfortable stay for all guests.
The reviews also offer some additional observations that are important for potential campers to consider:
- Close Proximity of Camping Spaces: While the tent sites are spacious individually, one reviewer noted that the camping spaces are "a bit close to each other." This might be a consideration for those seeking maximum privacy.
- Bright White Lamps at Night: Another camper mentioned that the bright white lamps throughout the campground do not turn off at night, which can make it difficult to sleep in a tent without eye coverings. This is a practical tip for tent campers to be aware of.
Promotional information is primarily conveyed through the positive experiences shared in the reviews. The repeated praise for the friendly staff, reasonable tent site costs, strong wifi, fishing lake, beach access, and well-maintained tent sites and amenities all serve as strong endorsements for Paradise Park Resort Campground. The fact that the ownership "clearly takes pride in what they do" and deserves a 5-star review further enhances its reputation.
For local users searching for "camping near me" in the Old Orchard Beach area, Paradise Park Resort Campground offers a compelling option that caters to both tent and RV campers. The emphasis on providing excellent facilities and a welcoming atmosphere for all types of campers sets it apart. The reasonable pricing for tent sites, coupled with essential amenities like hot showers and strong wifi, makes it particularly attractive for tent campers who may sometimes feel overlooked at coastal campgrounds that primarily focus on RVs.
The proximity to the beach and the availability of a fishing lake provide diverse recreational opportunities. The spacious and shaded tent sites ensure a comfortable camping experience. While the camping spaces might be somewhat close together and the nighttime lighting could be a factor for tent sleepers, the overall positive feedback suggests that these are minor drawbacks compared to the many advantages of staying at Paradise Park Resort Campground.

Paradise Park Resort Campground Reviews
I'm not surprised to read the positive reviews because this is an outstanding campground. I've camped here twice now as a solo male and I was never made to feel "weird" or unwelcome for it. Staff are all very friendly. Good vibes all around. For a tent site, the cost is quite reasonable compared to other campgrounds along the coast. Hot showers, strong wifi (hugely important if you work remotely as I do). Lake filled with bass and sunfish. It's really pleasant sitting on the white balcony and just looking out at the leaves as they change. Lots of critters, ducks, etc.10 minute walk to the beach. I appreciate that they make great effort to make the tent sites really nice: lots of space, tons of shade, most are nice and level along the ground. Because I've found that most campground along the Maine coast mostly cater to the RV crowd.Ownership clearly takes pride in what they do and deserve a 5 star review.
Sep 27, 2024 · Peter KovachVery nice overall, good vibes and easy to arrange after checking hours key pick up. Nice and clean amenities. The camping spaces are a bit close to each other. The bright white lamps don’t close at night so it’s hard to sleep in a tent without something to cover you eyes.
Sep 08, 2024 · Jacob LavoieThis campground feels like home to me. Been coming here since I was a toddler, I just love it. Within walking distance of the beach, there is also a shuttle. Two playgrounds, two pools and three hot tubs. Games, movie theatre, and boat rentals provide so much to do when not at the beach. So lovely to walk or bike around, neighbors are always nice. Can’t wait to come back!
Jan 29, 2024 · Natalie GougeStayed July 21st 2022 I have been a camper for almost 40 years . I have stayed at well over 150 Parks in Canada and the USA this park is by far the biggest Rip off paid over $100 for the night and my neighbor paid $85 spoke to the office and to find out that the site fees change thru out the day Based on availability. The park is owned by investors not family I will never stay or recommend this park . I paid less at a park near Disney in Orlando
Sep 19, 2024 · Don MartinWe had our first trip to Paradise Park at OOB this summer and we already want to go back. The grounds were clean, our site facing the pond was gorgeous and we loved the deck. Spot T06 I believe. The heated pool and hot tubs were great for the overcast days we had and you can’t beat the location. Easy walk to the Pier.Kids loved biking the paved road around the campground.Only possible downside is if you want privacy, this is not your place. A lot of camp sites so you will have neighbors.Regardless we want to come back. Great service from the folks that work there too!
