Beauty Creek Campground Introduce
Are you searching for a noteworthy 'camping near me' experience in the stunning Coeur d'Alene region of Idaho? Look no further than Beauty Creek Campground, situated at 7500 Beauty Crk Rd, Coeur d'Alene, ID 83814, USA. While the campground may offer a more rustic experience without utility hookups, the overwhelmingly positive reviews, particularly regarding the exceptional campground host, suggest a welcoming and memorable stay. You can contact them at (208) 664-2318 or via their mobile number at +1 208-664-2318 for inquiries.
One of the most prominent features of Beauty Creek Campground, consistently highlighted in the customer feedback, is the remarkable campground host. Several reviewers recount instances of the host going above and beyond to assist visitors, even those who were unable to secure a campsite. One individual who didn't stay was so impressed by the host's kindness that they expressed a definite intention to return if ever in the area. This level of positive interaction suggests that the host creates a genuinely welcoming and helpful atmosphere for all who visit, making Beauty Creek Campground a standout option when considering 'camping near me' where hospitality is a priority.
Another reviewer who encountered a "Campground Full" sign was offered a nice spot near the entrance by the host. This willingness to accommodate visitors, even when officially full, speaks volumes about the host's dedication and customer-oriented approach. Furthermore, when the reviewer decided to give their spot to another vehicle, the host provided information about alternative boondocking locations in the area. This proactive helpfulness extends beyond the confines of the campground itself, demonstrating a genuine care for travelers exploring 'camping near me' in the region.
The host's conscientiousness is further illustrated by an incident where he had to instruct a camper to extinguish their fire due to extreme fire danger, which was clearly posted throughout the area. This responsible action, while potentially uncomfortable, underscores the host's commitment to safety and the well-being of all campers and the surrounding environment. Despite this necessary enforcement, the reviewers consistently portray the host as polite and accommodating.
One particularly touching review mentions the host treating a visitor "like a brother" despite knowing they were from California. This anecdote highlights the host's inclusive and friendly nature, transcending any potential regional biases and fostering a sense of camaraderie among campers. For those seeking 'camping near me' where they can expect a warm and accepting environment, Beauty Creek Campground, largely due to its exceptional host, appears to be an excellent choice.
While the host's outstanding service is a major draw, the physical environment of Beauty Creek Campground also has its unique characteristics. One reviewer noted that the campground has "little privacy," suggesting that campsites might be relatively close to each other. However, this same reviewer also stated that the host made it "feel like the place to be," indicating that the positive social atmosphere fostered by the host can outweigh any perceived lack of seclusion. This is an important consideration for those comparing 'camping near me' with varying levels of campsite privacy.
Despite a dry creek and closed fire pits (likely due to fire danger), one visitor still found the campground "beautiful." This suggests that the natural setting of Beauty Creek Campground retains its appeal even under less-than-ideal conditions, hinting at a potentially scenic location with inherent natural beauty. The surrounding trees and brush, mentioned by another reviewer, likely contribute to this aesthetic appeal, offering a sense of being immersed in nature despite the proximity of other campsites.
It is important to note that Beauty Creek Campground offers a more rustic camping experience, as explicitly stated by a reviewer: "No electric, water, or sewer as expected." This indicates that the campground is geared towards self-sufficient campers who do not require hookups. If you are looking for 'camping near me' with full RV amenities, Beauty Creek Campground might not be the best fit. However, for those comfortable with dry camping or boondocking, it offers a potentially rewarding experience.
The campsites themselves are described as "huge," with one reviewer stating that their 25-foot fifth wheel fit comfortably with ample space to spare, and that the site could easily accommodate two 35-foot rigs side by side. This spaciousness is a significant advantage, providing plenty of room to spread out and enjoy your campsite. The presence of trees and brush surrounding the sites (except for the roadway) further enhances the feeling of being in a natural setting, even if visual privacy between sites is limited.
Interestingly, one reviewer noted that the nearest other campsites were at least 75 yards away and not visible, which seems to contradict the "little privacy" comment. This discrepancy might suggest that while the overall layout might not maximize visual separation, individual campsites can still offer a degree of seclusion depending on their specific location within the campground. It's advisable to inquire about campsite layouts when making a reservation.
Regarding infrastructure, the road leading to the park is paved but reportedly has "multiple large pot holes," so caution is advised when driving in. However, the road within the campground is paved and in excellent shape, as is the paved campsite pad. This suggests that while the approach might be a bit rough, navigating within the campground itself should be smooth and easy, which is a notable benefit for RVers and tent campers alike.
Accessibility is also a consideration at Beauty Creek Campground. There is a basic latrine located across the road from one reviewer's site, which is described as ADA-accessible with a concrete floor and a paved walkway leading to it. The presence of an ADA-compliant facility is a significant positive, ensuring that the campground is accessible to a wider range of visitors seeking 'camping near me' with necessary accommodations.
In conclusion, Beauty Creek Campground near Coeur d'Alene, Idaho, offers a unique camping experience centered around the exceptional kindness and helpfulness of its campground host. While it provides a more rustic setting without utility hookups and potentially limited visual privacy in some areas, the spacious campsites, beautiful natural surroundings, paved interior roads, and ADA-accessible latrine contribute to its appeal. The overwhelmingly positive feedback regarding the host makes Beauty Creek Campground a compelling option for those searching for a welcoming and memorable 'camping near me' experience in the Coeur d'Alene region. Be prepared for dry camping and a potentially communal atmosphere, but expect to be treated with outstanding hospitality.

Jul 18, 2021 · Russ RoushNice campground. The only complaint was a dry creek and lots of hornets. We were here August 2024.
Aug 14, 2024 · Aaron WirthThe creek was dry, no fires due to how dry everything is. The tent sites are on rocky soil and not much for privacy. It was close to the freeway so easy to get to and although dusty, it was clean.
Aug 04, 2021 · Leslie RingstadGorgeous location and the spots are huge. There are a mix of walk ups and reservable sites. All basic campgrounds - no power and water is communial & pit toilets. Campground host Rick was welcoming and so friendly.
