Champions Riverside Resort Introduce
For those in the "camping near me" category seeking a destination that combines outdoor lodging with on-site entertainment, Champions Riverside Resort, located at W16751 Pow Wow Ln, Galesville, WI 54630, USA, presents an interesting option. This resort is situated by a river, offering the appeal of a waterfront camping experience. Beyond its campsites, Champions Riverside Resort features a bar and grill that appears to be a significant draw, particularly for sports enthusiasts.
The environment of Champions Riverside Resort is defined by its riverside location, suggesting potential for scenic views and perhaps water-related activities, although specific details about these are not provided in the reviews. Campers have the option of bringing their own campers, indicating the availability of RV or trailer sites. The presence of a bar and grill on the premises adds a unique dimension to the camping experience, offering a social hub and a place to enjoy food and drinks without leaving the resort.
The services and features of Champions Riverside Resort seem to extend beyond basic camping amenities. The existence of a bar and grill suggests that food and beverage options are available on-site. The mention of a "guy bartender" and another "lady bartender helping with 3 small food tables" indicates that the bar serves both drinks and some food items. The resort also appears to host events, as one review mentions spending over $1500 for a benefit held at the location. This suggests that Champions Riverside Resort can cater to larger gatherings and may offer event-related services.
A notable feature highlighted in one review is the strong connection to Green Bay Packers fans. The reviewer, a big Packer fan, mentioned wanting to check out the bar due to its reputation in the Packers community and praised the "super fun and friendly bartender, Heather," as well as the atmosphere. This suggests that during football season, and perhaps at other times, the bar area becomes a lively gathering spot for fans, enhancing the social aspect of the resort. The reviewer also indicated an intention to return in the summer, implying that the resort operates and is appealing across different seasons.
However, it is crucial to present an objective view, and one of the provided reviews raises significant concerns about the service experienced. This review details multiple negative interactions with a specific "guy daytime bartender," describing the service as "awful" and "the worst service ever." The reviewer felt avoided and treated rudely, even after spending a considerable amount of money at a benefit held there. Specific issues included not being shown raffle boards associated with the benefit despite asking multiple times and a Sunday morning bartender being unhelpful in relaying a question to another staff member. While acknowledging that "Lori & Lisa are very nice," this negative experience significantly impacted the reviewer and their friends, who stated they would not return.
Another point of contention mentioned in the negative review is the enforcement of wearing an armband. The reviewer noted that while they were instructed to wear one, no other campers seemed to be doing so, creating a sense of being singled out. This suggests a potential inconsistency or lack of clarity in the resort's policies regarding identification of guests.
Despite the negative service experience reported by one group, the positive experience shared by the Packer fan highlights the potential for a fun and welcoming atmosphere, particularly when interacting with different staff members like Heather. This suggests that the quality of service might vary depending on the staff member encountered. It is important for potential visitors to be aware of this mixed feedback.
Promotional information is limited in the provided reviews. However, the fact that the resort hosts benefits indicates a potential for community engagement and special events. The appeal to Packer fans could be seen as a form of niche promotion, attracting a specific demographic. The positive mention of Heather as a "super fun and friendly bartender" could also be considered an informal promotion, highlighting a positive aspect of the resort's hospitality.
In conclusion, Champions Riverside Resort offers a unique combination of riverside camping and an on-site bar and grill with a strong connection to the Green Bay Packers fan base. While the location and atmosphere, particularly in the bar area with certain staff members, have been praised, potential visitors should be aware of the significant negative feedback regarding the service provided by at least one staff member. The inconsistency in service quality is a crucial factor to consider. If you are a Packer fan looking for a lively social scene alongside your camping experience, and are willing to potentially navigate inconsistent service, Champions Riverside Resort might be of interest. However, it would be prudent to seek more recent reviews or clarification on service standards before making a booking decision. The resort can be contacted at (608) 582-2995 or +1 608-582-2995 for further inquiries.

Champions Riverside Resort Reviews
Sad that I feel that I need to do a not great review. Maybe guy bartender was just having a really bad day. He seemed to hate the other worker to, not just us. Rooms were not a issue. We had our campers. Our friends that joined us said they will never be back again. When they tell you to wear your armband it seemed to be a game changer. No other campers wore one. Lori & Lisa are very nice. But the guy daytime bartender was awful & gave the worst service ever. He avoided us like we had the plague. We spent over 1500 for benefit, but were not shown raffle boards that we were on, even after asking a few times. As with all of them, a local won it. This is fine, just let me see them. We had over 1/2 the squares on a $20 board and never did see it. Sunday morning bartender told us he was too busy to let Lisa know we had a question for her. There were 4 people at bar, we were 2 of them & there was another lady bartender helping with 3 small food tables. We have never had worse service. This can be a great place, but this time we had terrible service and were treated very rudely by him. When I asked him a 2nd time he said "well you know I am busy".
Apr 29, 2025 · Tami BoweAs a big Packer fan, I’ve always wanted to check out this bar and had heard so much about it. Loved the atmosphere and the super fun and friendly bartender, Heather was awesome! We will definitely be back in the summer and for some Packer games!
Apr 15, 2025 · Heather SteinerI was there for a " bingo" event. It was ok. We had fun playing bingo. The food we got was nothing to write home about. The burger I had was rather dry and a little chewy. The fries were pretty good. I expected a bit better based on the price of the drinks and food. All in all we had a good time.
Jan 22, 2025 · Marla OlsonAt the bar and restaurant last night with party of 5. We were not greeted, treated or serviced professionally or friendly by any staff member. Hard to enjoy the “all you can eat fish dinner” when no one ever comes and checks on you. THEY WERE NOT BUSY!! I felt like a cow at the slaughter house! We WILL NEVER GO BACK!
Mar 08, 2025 · Jon MathwigThe service and food were excellent. The portion size was great for the size and the bar staff were very attentive. Amber especially was very helpful regarding questions with the specials of the day and the menu.
