Chestnut Ridge Regional Park Reviews
I found this recommendation through ChatGPT oddly enough. With coopers rock so close it’s a great spot to go to. They have 2 stocked lakes that require no permit. I actually caught a nice small mouth first cast. Camp store was nice. Firewood available but expensive. Bring your own. The shower house seems to be recently renovated and the men’s room seemed to be pretty clean. Ladies room mentioned that there were some things needing cleaning. Would recommended daily look over. However I was pleased and rank as my top camp shower as others have been way worse trust me. This is luxury lol. Nice and quiet for the most part. We think we were hearing geese at night what seemed to be about 2-300 yards north of us. They weren’t annoying but you could hear them. Our conclusion was Canadian geese migrating and mating. We didn’t investigate so not sure. Great spot here would def recommend. Nice and clean and spacious!
Mar 21, 2025 · Michael ScarnIt was a really nice park. We are on a road trip from Cincy to DC and back, and we just needed a stopping point. The bathrooms were clean, the sites were private and not crowded, there was an unexpected swimming hole at the local pond. One not fun part- getting our popup into the site. It’s a back in, but there isn’t any turnaround space. The woman checking in told us that some people choose to back in the whole road, others get turned around at the shower house and back in the rest of the way. we took the second option, and even just that put my husband’s backing skills to the test. But he did it!!
Jun 16, 2024 · Chelsea DietrichIt was a nice park i wouldn't stay the night there. It isn't good for that. The hall was nice. I went to a retreat there It was a good time.
May 03, 2025 · Ronald FranksLove this park, great for camping or just dropping by for the day to hangout with the kiddos. There is a playground, pavilion for parties and a beautiful lake to walk around, fish or even swim! Also there are lots of other things like concerts through the summer, and snow tubing in the winter! And so much more, checkout their website. Highly recommend!
Nov 06, 2024 · Valerie AltBeautiful hiking trails covered with many trees, the ponds and lush green meadows in between offer you with great backdrop and landscapes to take pictures. We visited during the early November but I can imagine this place to be great anytime during the year.
