Gladstan RV Park Introduce
For local RV enthusiasts seeking a distinctive "camping near me" experience, Gladstan RV Park, located at 438 N Sunbrook Dr, Elk Ridge, UT 84651, offers a unique setting nestled within the Gladstan Golf Course. This RV park provides full hookups and a tranquil environment, particularly appealing to those who enjoy golf or appreciate a peaceful backdrop for their RV stay. While it caters specifically to self-contained RV units and has certain limitations regarding amenities like picnic tables and fire rings, its beautiful setting and convenient access to golfing make it a noteworthy option for the right kind of traveler.
The environment of Gladstan RV Park is consistently described as "beautiful." One of its most striking features is its integration with the Gladstan Golf Course, with three of the golf course holes wrapping directly around the park. This creates a picturesque setting with well-maintained greenery and open spaces. The proximity to the golf course also contributes to a generally "quiet and peaceful" atmosphere, allowing for a relaxing stay. However, this unique integration also presents a minor consideration: stray golf balls. According to a reviewer, the "safest spots from golf balls are on the south west side or spot #30 area," which might be a useful tip for those concerned about this aspect.
A significant feature for golf enthusiasts is the exceptional convenience offered by the Gladstan Golf Club. RVers staying at Gladstan RV Park can call the clubhouse, and the staff are reportedly "kind enough to deliver carts to your RV prior to the tee time." This seamless service allows golfers to easily access the course without the hassle of transporting golf carts themselves, enhancing the overall experience for those whose primary reason for staying is to play golf.
Over the years, Gladstan RV Park has seen notable improvements. According to one long-term observer, the park has "really improved" with the addition of "grass, shade trees planted and full hook ups at each spot." These enhancements contribute to a more comfortable and aesthetically pleasing environment for RVers. The provision of full hookups at each site is a significant advantage, offering connections for electricity, water, and sewer, which are essential for a comfortable and self-sufficient RV stay.
While the park offers many positives, there are a couple of minor drawbacks mentioned by reviewers. One camper noted that the sites can be "a bit un level," but also added that "nothing most RV’ers can’t overcome," suggesting that while some leveling might be required, it is generally manageable with standard RV leveling equipment.
It is crucial to note that Gladstan RV Park caters specifically to "self-contained units." This means that campers must have their own onboard restroom and shower facilities, as none are provided within the RV park itself. Additionally, the park does not offer picnic tables at the individual sites. Furthermore, due to "high fire risks," fire rings are not provided, and open fires are likely prohibited. These limitations highlight that Gladstan RV Park is designed for RVers who are fully equipped and prioritize the unique setting and golf access over traditional campground amenities.
The primary focus of Gladstan RV Park appears to be golf, as explicitly stated by one reviewer: "This place really focuses on golf and that is why I picked this place. So hubby could golf and we could have some space." This makes it an ideal choice for travelers whose itinerary revolves around playing at the Gladstan Golf Course while enjoying the convenience and space of their own RV.
Navigating to Gladstan RV Park requires careful attention to directions, as highlighted by one reviewer who detailed a somewhat unconventional route. They strongly recommend going "straight to your camping spot" as indicated on the reservation sheet, rather than attempting to check in at the Clubhouse with your RV, which has a "very small parking lot" unsuitable for large rigs. The journey to the park involves driving through "residential neighborhoods," which might initially cause some confusion. At the intersection of Olympic Lane and Elk Ridge Drive, there is a sign that says "Dead End =>," which can be misleading. However, the reviewer advises to "Keep going" for one block, where a left turn onto Sunbrooke/Olympic Lane will lead to a small white sign indicating "Gladstan Golf Campground." The reviewer suggests that an additional sign one block earlier would be beneficial to prevent confusion.
Currently, there is no specific promotional information available for Gladstan RV Park in the provided reviews. However, its unique integration with a golf course, the provision of full hookups, and the reported improvements to the park over the years serve as inherent attractions for RVers seeking a particular type of "camping near me" experience. The convenience of golf cart delivery directly to your RV is a significant added value for golfers.
For local RV owners looking for a quiet and peaceful setting with the added benefit of golf course proximity, Gladstan RV Park offers a compelling option. The full hookups ensure a comfortable stay, and the beautiful environment enhances the overall experience. However, it is essential to be aware of the requirement for self-contained units and the absence of picnic tables and fire rings. The detailed directions provided by a reviewer are also crucial for a smooth arrival.
To obtain more information about Gladstan RV Park, including reservation procedures, pricing, specific site details, and any current regulations or recommendations, local users should contact the park directly. While a phone number is not provided in the text, searching online for "Gladstan RV Park Elk Ridge UT" should yield contact information and potentially a website or booking platform with further details and images of the park. This will allow prospective visitors to get a comprehensive understanding of what Gladstan RV Park offers and to make informed decisions based on their individual needs and preferences for their "camping near me" adventure.
In conclusion, Gladstan RV Park in Elk Ridge, Utah, provides a unique RV camping experience within the scenic surroundings of the Gladstan Golf Course. Its full hookups, quiet atmosphere, and exceptional golf-related conveniences make it a standout choice for RVers, particularly those who enjoy golf. While it requires self-contained units and lacks certain traditional campground amenities, its beautiful setting and improvements over time offer a pleasant and convenient stay. Following the recommended directions is advised for an easy arrival, and direct contact with the park is encouraged for the most up-to-date information and reservations.

May 15, 2024 · Brad TannerThis is a beautiful RV “park” located within the golf course. You need to be in a self-contained unit. There are no picnic tables provided. No fire rings due to the high fire risks. This place really focuses on golf and that is why I picked this place. So hubby could golf and we could have some space.First, I highly recommend that you come straight to your camping spot, since you’ll find your number on your reservation sheet. If you drive your rig up to the Club House to check in you end up in a very small parking lot.Secondly, you do end up driving into residential neighborhoods and wonder what the heck! When you get to the intersection Olympic Lane/Elk Ridge Drive there will be a sign that say “Dead End =>”. Scary, right! Keep going. 1 block down on the left you see a street sign Sunbrooke/Olympic Lane, below that you will see a small white sign that says “Gladstan Golf Campground”. Take a left. They need to have another sign like that one block earlier. I included some pictures.
Jun 29, 2024 · Julie CherryThe RV park is in a beautiful location with mountains visible in all directions. The RV park is difficult to find because you have to drive through a residential neighborhood, and eventually you turn onto a road that says "dead end," but really it isn't a dead end because there is a very small sign ziptied to a stop sign that tells you to turn onto a dirt road in a cul-de-sac that leads to the RV park. Definitely follow the driving instructions they email you; don't trust your map application. The majority of the sites are on a hillside and are not level front-to-back or side-to-side. Our automatic leveling system went into panic mode when the site was determined to be more than 5 degrees out of level. We had to change sites. The sites closest to the pond are more level.Another problem is they installed the electrical pedestals in the parking area of each site which means you have to park partly in the grass in order to extend the slides. See the picture below.Beware that there are 3 golf holes directly surrounding the RV park, and there are no nets protecting the RVs from stray balls. I found 28 golf balls in the RV park. Fortunately, there were no RVs in the area at the time or they could have been damaged. In the morning when we left, there was a golf ball lying about 10 feet from my truck. The staff use the RV park as a road for the maintenance vehicles, so you will hear them driving around early in the morning as well as mowing equipment early in the morning.
Apr 05, 2024 · Alan StuartWhile this is not your typical RV park, this is a beautiful and very quiet place to stay. Yes it’s a little more challenging to find but they do provide very detailed directions on how to find the rv park and you can cross check those directions with google maps to get your bearings to see where you’re going. We didn’t have any issues with golf balls and we didn’t use the bathrooms. It’s a funky gravel entrance between homes and the road is dusty and gravel but there was hardly anyone in the park with us and it was very quiet at night. The site was pull through but not level (we needed two blocks to get ours level) The snow capped mountains were beautiful all around and it’s honestly one of the safest and nicest Rv parks in that area and close to Salt Lake City region. You pick your spot online, pay online, they send you all the necessary check in information through email and you don’t need to drive up to the golf area to check in when you arrive just go straight to your spot. We would return if in the area again (we would just ask that they not cut the grass and weed whack before 7am!
Jul 13, 2023 · Glyn Jones (Glyn & Jena Jones)Nice new campground, really nice sunset. Can’t comment on bathroom didn’t use it. Only 2 issues somewhat hard to find no signage. Need speed limit signs dusty.
