Lindenwood Campground Introduce
For local users in Fargo, North Dakota, searching for "camping near me," Lindenwood Campground, located at 1955 Roger Maris Dr, Fargo, ND 58103, USA, offers a conveniently situated and generally well-regarded camping experience. You can contact them at (701) 232-3987 or +1 701-232-3987 for more information and reservations.
Based on customer reviews, Lindenwood Campground is noted for being "nice and clean," which is a significant factor for many campers. The campground offers RV sites, as one reviewer mentioned their "RV" being their "room," implying the availability of suitable parking and hookups for recreational vehicles. The presence of "electric and water" hookups is also confirmed, although it's worth noting that these connections might be "quite a distance from where you park" at some sites.
One reviewer specifically mentioned challenges with leveling on some sites in the lower section, Section B, of the campground, stating that they are "really hard to get level down on the lower section." If you are traveling with an RV that requires a level parking spot, you might want to inquire about site availability and terrain when booking.
The environment of Lindenwood Campground has both positives and a potential drawback. Being located "down there along the river" is highlighted as a nice feature, suggesting scenic views and possibly river access for activities, although this is not explicitly detailed. However, the same reviewer noted "noise from the highway," which might be a consideration for those particularly sensitive to traffic sounds. Despite the highway noise, the proximity to the river seems to offer a pleasant natural element to the camping experience.
In terms of services, the availability of "clean bathrooms" is a definite plus for any campground. Additionally, Lindenwood Campground boasts "perfect" access to bike trails, with the trails being right outside the campground. This is a significant feature for those who enjoy cycling and exploring the local area on two wheels. An update from April 16, 2025, enthusiastically suggests trying the rental bikes available, with the reviewer noting they "quite enjoyed traveling the concrete and asphalt trails on it!" This indicates that the campground may offer bike rentals, providing an easy way for visitors to take advantage of the adjacent trails.
Another review from June 7, 2024, further elaborates on the park-like setting of the area. The reviewer described it as a "lovely place with plenty of parking," although this might refer to the broader park area rather than just the campground parking for individual sites. The park is noted as a great location for various activities such as "birthday parties, taking your dog to play/walk, sit and read a book or many other activities." This suggests that Lindenwood Campground is part of a larger park area with diverse recreational opportunities beyond just camping and biking.
The presence of "restrooms that you can use located randomly around the grounds" is also mentioned in this review, reinforcing the availability of these essential facilities. The reviewer also shared a personal enjoyment of having breakfast under a willow tree in the back circle of the park, painting a picture of a pleasant and potentially scenic environment within the broader Lindenwood Park.
Combining these reviews, Lindenwood Campground appears to offer a clean and conveniently located base for exploring Fargo. Its proximity to bike trails is a major draw, and the riverside location adds to its appeal. While some lower campsites may present leveling challenges for RVs, and highway noise is a factor to consider, the overall impression is positive, especially for those looking to combine camping with outdoor activities like biking.
Regarding specific features, the direct access to bike trails stands out. The potential for riverside enjoyment, clean bathrooms, and the possibility of bike rentals further enhance the campground's offerings. The fact that it's part of a larger park with amenities like additional restrooms and pleasant spots for relaxation adds to its value as a "camping near me" option in Fargo.

Lindenwood Campground Reviews
Rooms were a five because it was our RV. The campground is nice and clean. The electric and water are quite a distance from where you park and some of the sites are really hard to get level down on the lower section of the campground, section B. There is noise from the highway. But it is nice to be down there along the river. The bathrooms are clean. Access to the bike trails is perfect, right out of the campground.
Mar 16, 2025 · K. ReidUPDATE4-16-25: If you haven't tried one of the rental bikes or, I highly suggest it. We quite enjoyed traveling the concrete and asphalt trails on it!6-7-24: It's such a lovely place with plenty of parking. This would be a great location for birthday parties, taking your dog to play/walk, sit and read a book or many other activities. There are restrooms that you can use located randomly around the grounds. I love having my breakfast under a willow tree on the back circle of the park.
Apr 16, 2025 · Amanda HooverWe stayed in the RV Park at B-23. We stayed in the river front spaces. Make sure you have extra hose and leveling blocks. We had to go buy an extra hose at the Walmart. The river front sites we paved but had a decent slope towards the river. The park is right next to a major road so there is consistent traffic noise. That being said is was a nice place. It is a public park too so there is lots of people during the day enjoying the huge playground and pavilion areas. There is bike rentals and nice walking paths. Since there is no sewer they have a dedicated shower restroom for the RV people. I would definitely stay there again. I enjoyed my morning coffee by the river watching a momma duck and her baby's.
Jul 01, 2024 · Jaime MartinMy husband and I stayed here for a night on the way to Medora and really enjoyed the campground. The hiking trail is an easy, peaceful walk. The bridge is between Minnesota and North Dakota, which is pretty cool. The campground is also on a lake. The bathrooms and showers are code protected and clean. We'd stay here again if travelling through.
Sep 25, 2024 · Kelly DresslerReally nice in town campground. Amenities were great, electric, water and fire ring at each site. The Red river is right there and pretty. My husband said the showers were really nice. Clean and great water pressure. Some people might be bothered by the sound of the nearby highway traffic but it wasn't an issue for me.
