Imagine waking up to the gentle sounds of a clear river, with the opportunity to witness trout jumping right from your campsite. This idyllic environment offers a true escape into nature's tranquility.
One of the standout features of Oakland Valley Campground, as highlighted by multiple visitors, is its stunning location directly on the river. Campers have described their riverside campsites as "gorgeous" and "unbeatable." The proximity to the water enhances the overall camping experience, providing opportunities for relaxation by the riverbank and enjoying the natural beauty of the flowing water. While one reviewer noted that some campsites might have river rocks, they recommended bringing a thick sleeping pad for optimal comfort, suggesting that the overall experience more than compensates for this minor consideration.

A pool can be a fantastic amenity for families and adds another way to cool off and enjoy leisure time within the campground.
For those who appreciate staying connected or need to pick up essential items, Oakland Valley Campground provides a camp store and wifi access. The camp store likely offers basic camping supplies, snacks, and perhaps even souvenirs, saving campers a trip into town for necessities. Wifi availability can be a valuable amenity for planning activities, staying in touch with loved ones, or simply enjoying some online entertainment during downtime.
The positive experiences shared by campers extend beyond the physical amenities. Oakland Valley Campground Reviews
My dad and I take an annual camping trip to a different state every year and this place was amazing. We had the perfect campsite right on the river and it was gorgeous! The site itself was flat but had lots of river rocks so make sure you bring a good thick pad to sleep on. Our site even had running water and an electrical outlet. Lots of hiking, cider mills, and lakes in the area! We can’t wait to go back!
Oct 05, 2024 · Kayla ThorntonI really didn't want to leave here. My son and I traveled around the whole country, and I would 100% put this campground at the top of our favorites! The sites are spacious, and it's truly unbeatable being right on the river! Restrooms were clean with hot showers, and the laundry was affordable. We weren't there in season to enjoy the pool, but I'm sure it's great. There's a campstore and wifi available! There are plenty of things to do in the area, although I don't know why you'd want to leave. Surrounded by trees on a clear river, listening to trout jumping is all just so incredible. The owner seems like a wonderful lady, and the other campers were welcoming as well! Can't wait to visit again!
