Amenities and Features for Family Fun and Recreation
PSEA Camp Pit River offers a range of amenities designed to enhance the camping experience for families and individuals. Based on the reviews, these include:
- Swimming Pool: A significant amenity for recreation and cooling off during warmer months. However, one recent review noted some initial cleanliness issues with the pool, suggesting that while present, its maintenance might occasionally be a concern.
- Playground: An essential feature for families with children, providing a dedicated space for kids to play and burn off energy.
- Campfire Area: A central gathering point for evening activities, storytelling, and enjoying the traditional campfire experience.
- Cabins: The availability of cabins, including two-story red log cabins as fondly remembered by one reviewer, offers a more comfortable lodging option compared to traditional tent camping. These cabins provide shelter and a sense of home away from home.
- Recycle Bins: A positive recent addition noted by a reviewer, indicating an effort towards environmental consciousness and convenience for guests staying in the cabins.
- Ice Maker: An amenity that can be crucial for keeping food and drinks cold, especially during hot weather. However, a recent review pointed out issues with its functionality due to a needed condenser repair and water pooling, suggesting potential inconsistencies in its availability.

One particularly heartfelt review from a long-time visitor who first came to the camp in 1992 and last visited in 2010 speaks volumes about the enduring appeal of PSEA Camp Pit River. The reviewer expresses a deep love for the place, recalling "some of the best memories" and describing it as their "happy place" that is "so peaceful." This personal testimonial highlights the potential for creating lasting positive experiences at the campground.

Potential Areas for Improvement and Considerations for Local Users
While the overall sentiment towards PSEA Camp Pit River is positive, the recent review mentioning issues with the pool cleanliness and the malfunctioning ice maker suggests that local users should be aware of potential inconsistencies in amenity maintenance. It might be prudent to inquire about the current status of these facilities when making a reservation, especially during peak seasons or heat waves when these amenities are most valued.
The pooling water in front of the ice maker also indicates a potential safety hazard or inconvenience that local users might encounter. Being aware of such minor issues can help manage expectations and ensure a smoother camping experience.

PSEA Camp Pit River Reviews
We love coming and have seen some minor improvements. Pool not really clean until the 3rd day in. Water pooling in front of ice maker making access difficult. Ice maker needed new condenser and still not repaired with 98 degree heat wave even with a few days notice. Recycle bin for each cabin nice addition.
Jun 06, 2024 · Janet NagashimaI absolutely love this place and miss it soo much! I started going there when I was a kid back in 1992. 2010 is the last time I went😭 and it breaks my heart. I've been there many times and I've had some of the best memories there. So much to do. They have a pool and playground and camp fire area. You can take a small home behind the cabins and hike back to pit river and see the beautiful waterfalls. There's a reservoir in front of the cabins, can't swim in it. And by the reservoir there's a track to ride bikes or ATVs. Iron canyon reservoir is about a 20min drive and it's just beautiful and great fishing. If you can I recommend taking a 4-wheeler or dirt bike or some other ATV to drive around all the different trails. Before the damn there's a turn off to deep creek and it's beautiful. On the way there you ride next to the pit river and you'll come up to this beautiful little pond. As a kid it was my dream to move here and live in a 2 story red log cabin. Whenever I need to go to my "happy place" lol, I always go there. It's so peaceful. I've been begging my family for years to please go there. Next year with or without them I'll make it happen. You won't regret going here!
