World Equestrian Center RV Resort Introduce
For local users seeking a premium RV camping experience in the 'camping near me' category, the World Equestrian Center RV Resort, located at 1750 NW 80th Ave, Ocala, FL 34482, USA, offers a unique blend of high-end amenities and convenient access to the renowned World Equestrian Center. This RV resort caters particularly to those involved in equestrian activities but also welcomes anyone looking for a well-equipped camping destination in the Ocala area.
The resort's primary advantage lies in its unparalleled convenience for individuals participating in events or visiting the World Equestrian Center. As one reviewer noted, it is "convenient to the barns and arenas," making it an ideal location for equestrians who need easy access to the facilities. For those traveling with horses or attending equestrian competitions, the proximity of the RV resort is a significant benefit, streamlining logistics and allowing for more time focused on the events.
In terms of the RV sites themselves, feedback suggests they are "small but adequate" and "very easy to back in to." While the size might be a consideration for those with larger rigs or a preference for spacious sites, the ease of maneuvering into the spots is a definite plus, particularly for drivers who appreciate a straightforward parking process. However, it's worth noting that the sites are described as "fairly cramped" and "slightly sloped," potentially requiring extra effort for leveling your RV. Additionally, the absence of picnic benches and fire rings on the sites might be a drawback for campers who enjoy these traditional outdoor amenities, and open fires are reportedly not allowed.
Despite some limitations with the individual campsites, the World Equestrian Center RV Resort boasts a range of "premium amenities" that contribute to a comfortable and convenient stay. These include "great full hookups," ensuring reliable access to water, electricity, and sewer connections for RVs. The presence of "fenced dog parkS (plural)" is a significant advantage for travelers with pets, providing secure spaces for dogs to exercise and socialize. The availability of "fast Wi-Fi" is another modern convenience that many campers appreciate, allowing them to stay connected. For ease of getting around the extensive facilities, "golf carts" are available to rent.
The resort also excels in terms of cleanliness and essential facilities. Reviewers highlight the "clean clean clean showers/bathrooms" and the "huge laundry facility," indicating a commitment to maintaining high standards of hygiene and providing practical amenities for longer stays. The inclusion of a "fully stocked general store" on the premises adds another layer of convenience, allowing guests to purchase groceries, supplies, and other necessities without having to leave the resort. Furthermore, the presence of a "gas station right on the premises" is an exceptional amenity, particularly beneficial for those traveling long distances in their RVs.
However, alongside these premium offerings, several significant drawbacks have been consistently reported by users. A recurring issue is the lack of "hot water in the shower houses during the day." This is a considerable inconvenience, especially given the premium pricing of the resort. Additionally, the "severe water pressure" issues appear to be persistent, affecting not only the showers (resulting in a "trickle" even when warm water is available) but also the functionality of the toilets, which reportedly "dont flush all the time." The fact that these water-related problems have persisted across stays spanning several years suggests they are ongoing and unresolved, which is a significant point of concern for potential guests.
Another practical consideration is the "long walk to take your trash." While not a critical issue for all campers, it's a factor to be aware of, especially for those with mobility challenges or larger amounts of waste. Additionally, the front sites of the campground are reportedly utilized for "golf cart storage for the entire resort," with a supply shed being accessed frequently throughout the day and night. This could potentially lead to increased noise and activity in those areas.
The pricing of the World Equestrian Center RV Resort reflects its premium status and amenities, "starting at $80 a night and upwards of $150 in winter/peak season." This places it at the higher end of the spectrum for RV parks in the region. While the extensive amenities might justify the cost for some, the reported issues with hot water and water pressure, along with the smaller, sloped, and amenity-lacking individual sites, might make other campers question the value proposition.
One reviewer speculated that the resort primarily caters to "mega Class A" RV owners who spend most of their time inside their well-equipped coaches. While the resort undeniably offers excellent infrastructure and location for equestrians, addressing the water pressure and hot water issues, as well as potentially adding basic site amenities like picnic benches and perhaps a kids' playground, could significantly enhance the experience for a broader range of campers and potentially justify the premium pricing more fully.
For local users considering the World Equestrian Center RV Resort based on the 'camping near me' category, it's crucial to weigh the convenience and premium amenities against the reported drawbacks, particularly the water-related issues and the nature of the individual campsites. If proximity to the World Equestrian Center is a top priority and you value the extensive on-site facilities, this resort may still be a viable option. However, it is strongly recommended to contact the resort directly at (352) 414-7900 or +1 352-414-7900 to inquire about the current status of the water issues and to get detailed information about site availability and any current promotional offers. Understanding the latest conditions and potential deals will help you make an informed decision about whether the World Equestrian Center RV Resort meets your specific needs and expectations for a local camping experience.

World Equestrian Center RV Resort Reviews
Nice RV park, convenient to the barns and arenas. Lots are small but adequate and they are very easy to back in to.There is NO hot water in the shower houses during the day.Long walk to take your trash.
Jan 14, 2025 · Jill MobleyHave stayed here three times in our camper van since our kids are equestrians. The resort overall is amazing for horse people. The campground is a mixed bag of good and bad. First, this is a premium campground, starting at $80 a night and upwards of $150 in winter/peak season. It has premium amenities like great full hookups, fenced dog parkS (plural), fast Wi-Fi, golf carts available to rent, clean clean clean showers/bathrooms, a huge laundry facility, a fully stocked general store, and even a gas station right on the premises. However, for the price premium, I'm disappointed by the fact that the campsites are very austere and fairly cramped. They're slightly sloped making leveling your camper a challenge. Also, not even a picnic bench to sit upon and certainly no fire rings (not allowed). Up front, sites are used for golf cart storage for the entire resort, with a shed for supplies being accessed all day and night. Furthermore, there are severe water pressure and hot water issues every time we are here. Toilets dont flush all the time and it's a totally random experience if you're going to get warm showers. Even when you get warm water, it's a trickle because of the aforementioned pressure issues. My three stays have been years apart so they just can't get this issue fixed. No idea why.I think this is a place catering to mega Class A whose owners pull in, pop out slide outs, plug in and stay inside their coach till it's time to leave. If they could fix the showers and water pressure issue, I'd have rated them 4 and a picnic bench and a kids playground would garner a 5 star
Jul 25, 2024 · Adeel ArshedImpossible to level my coach, either air or jacks. It was pouring rain and even tried jack pads. Decided was not worth it and asked for a refund. The lady Kit in the office was extremely rude! She asked if I read my rental agreement???? No refunds!!!! Personality of a pit bull! The park was empty. I can see why now.
Jun 08, 2024 · paul gaetanoHorrible place to camp. Sites paved but uneven. Dog are supposed to be leashed but aren’t. Our site and the two next to us were covered in dog droppings. Bathroom smelled horrible. Toilets clogged with poo and toilet paper. Showers were dirty; one clogged with hair, one had toilet paper all over the floor, the other was covered in dirt and sand. Gross. Not even a picnic table at the site. For over $123 a night, I expected way better. Will never come here again. We only stayed one night and then got out.
Mar 05, 2024 · Lucy LuWould definitely stay again! We stayed for a week 12/2023 and really enjoyed the place. Couldn’t believe how empty it was for this time of the year. We stayed in the section farthest from the grocery store and they seemed to be more spacious in between sites. They had plenty of dog baggie/trash areas throughout the park but weren’t emptied the entire time we were there. They had LOTS of grass that our dog loved chasing his ball in while the park was empty. They had TWO dog parks for both small and large dogs that was fabulous. No picnic tables or room for hanging out outside your RV unless you’re in the grass. Verizon 5G wi-fi worked good. The streets and lots were both concrete. There wasn’t a whole lot going on while we were there until the last night when they had a horse show. The hotel is absolutely spectacular. We came during Christmas and the Christmas decor was amazing throughout the entire equestrian center & hotel. We visited the restaurant inside the hotel “Yellow Pony”, the prices were high but the food was great! We planned on going again but when we tried, it was during the horse show and the place was packed. Not much going on around the area, restaurants were limited. We did go to Fox and Hound close by and that was really good too. Mexican restaurant close was just ok.
