Munds Park RV Resort Introduce
When searching for "RV parks near me" in the Munds Park, Arizona area, Munds Park RV Resort, located at 17550 S Munds Ranch Rd, Munds Park, AZ 86017, is an option that appears. However, recent feedback from individuals who have stayed or attempted to stay at this resort raises some important considerations for potential guests. This introduction aims to provide an objective overview of Munds Park RV Resort based solely on the information available in the provided customer reviews, highlighting both potential drawbacks and any implied positive aspects.
One of the primary concerns raised by a guest relates to campsite placement and the behavior of other campers. This reviewer, identifying as an "older single woman," expressed dissatisfaction with being placed "right next to the families with the screaming kids." The issue wasn't just the noise level, described as "screaming all afternoon," but also the lack of respect for personal space, with the children "running right through my campsite." This guest felt that there should be rules in place for families with children to adhere to, drawing a comparison to pet owners being expected to clean up after their dogs. This review points to a potential lack of enforcement of park etiquette or consideration for the diverse needs of different types of guests when assigning campsites.
The second review details a negative experience with the resort's cancellation policy and associated fees. The guest had booked a three-night stay in June, acknowledging that they did so "in spite of the mediocre/negative reviews, solely based on location." However, their travel plans changed less than 24 hours after making the reservation, prompting an immediate call to cancel. Despite the early cancellation, the resort still charged a $50 cancellation fee and reportedly refused to waive it. Furthermore, the guest claims they had to contact the resort multiple times to receive a refund for their initial credit card payment. When the refund finally processed three days later, it was allegedly short by an additional $70. According to the guest, this shortfall was due to the resort also charging a $20 fee for holding a specific site, even though the reservation was cancelled within a day. This resulted in what the guest described as a "25% cancellation fee." The reviewer expressed strong dissatisfaction with these policies and methods, stating they found them "questionable" and would "not recommend dealing with them." They also mentioned discovering a more affordable and appealing campground further along their route.
Based on these two reviews, it is challenging to paint a comprehensive picture of the environment, services, and features of Munds Park RV Resort. The first review implies a setting that accommodates families with children, and the presence of other campers suggests a typical RV park layout with individual campsites. The second review highlights the existence of specific site reservations, which likely come with a holding fee. Beyond these limited insights, the reviews primarily focus on negative aspects of the guest experience.
Potential Environment, Services, and Features (Inferred from the Reviews):
- Campsites for RVs: The primary offering is spaces for parking recreational vehicles.
- Accommodation of Families: The presence of families with children is noted.
- Site-Specific Reservations: Guests can apparently pay a fee to hold a particular campsite.
- Utility Hook-ups: While not explicitly mentioned, it is standard for RV resorts to offer water, sewer, and electrical hook-ups at their sites.
- Potential for Noise Issues: One review highlights significant noise from children and a perceived lack of enforcement of quiet hours or campsite etiquette.
- Defined Cancellation Policy: The second review details a policy with a $50 cancellation fee and a non-refundable site holding fee, even for very short cancellation periods.
Promotional Information: The provided reviews do not contain any positive promotional information. Instead, they serve as cautionary tales for potential guests. The negative experiences related to campsite placement and the strict cancellation policy with additional fees are significant deterrents. The lack of positive comments regarding amenities, the beauty of the park, or exceptional services makes it difficult to identify any strong selling points based solely on this information.
Given the nature of the feedback, potential visitors searching for "RV parks near me" in the Munds Park area should exercise caution and consider these experiences before making a reservation at Munds Park RV Resort. The issues raised about noise and campsite placement could impact the enjoyment of guests seeking a peaceful retreat. The strict cancellation policy, coupled with unexpected fees, could lead to financial dissatisfaction, especially if travel plans change unexpectedly.
It is important to note that these are just two reviews, and they may not represent the experience of all guests. However, they do highlight potential areas of concern that prospective visitors should be aware of. If Munds Park RV Resort's location is a primary draw, as it was for the guest in the second review, it might be prudent to inquire specifically about campsite placement relative to families with children and to thoroughly understand the cancellation policy and all potential fees before booking.
For those considering Munds Park RV Resort, reaching out directly to the management using the provided phone numbers might be advisable to seek clarification on their policies and to inquire about measures taken to ensure a comfortable environment for all guests:

- Mobile Phone: +1 928-286-1309
Asking specific questions about campsite allocation, quiet hours, and the details of their cancellation and refund policies could help potential guests make a more informed decision. It would also be wise to compare Munds Park RV Resort with other "RV parks near me" in the area to ensure the best fit for individual needs and expectations, especially considering the availability of potentially "lovely" and more affordable campgrounds nearby, as mentioned by one of the reviewers.

Munds Park RV Resort Reviews
I guess they like to put older single women right next to the families with the screaming kids. Not only were these kids screaming, and I mean, screaming all afternoon, but they had no problem running right through my campsite. There should be rules that families with kids should adhere to. I mean, I pick up after my dog.
May 04, 2025 · Max ChesterBeware! We had booked this trip for 3 nights in June, in spite of the mediocre/negative reviews, solely based on location. Our trip changed less than 1 day after booking our reservations so we immediately called to cancel. In spite of cancelling early and less than 24 hours after booking, they still charged me the $50 cancellation fee and would not budge. I asked for a confirmation of the cancellation -- which I never received. I then had to contact them 2 more times to get a refund of my credit card. When the credit finally came through 3 days later, it was short $70. They said they were also charging me the $20 fee I had paid to hold that particular site (for less than 1 day mind you) and would not rescind it. Basically a 25% cancellation fee. I find their policies and methods questionable and would not recommend dealing with them. I did learn later I could've driven a bit further on my route and found a lovely campground that was less the the $90 daily fee they were charging me.
Apr 13, 2025 · kso 241Shoddy RV camp. Toilet codes don't work, which is a big problem when you desperately need the loo. We were there overnight and they literally park their short term guests in the entrance driveway, so no privacy at all. Everyone is very close together. This felt like squeezing people in as much as possible to make as much money as possible. Would not recommend at all. Seriously disappointed.
Apr 04, 2025 · Susan SchoningThis location was perfect--many things to do nearby, including riding our side-by-side onto trails right out of the park. We stayed in the campground out in the open area for 21 nights in Sept. The open area was the best so you could get satellite. Could hear elk bugling at night. Enjoyed the pool, hot tub, and all the workout equipment in the gym. The campground was very quiet and is a dark sky park. We would stay here again.
Oct 09, 2024 · Maureen AlbertiMunds RV Park,We had our toy hauler trailer parked at Munds RV Park in the newer Phase 4 section for the entire summer. This was to get out of the heat on the weekends from Phoenix (Tempe) to enjoy the much cooler weather. As a bonus to our weekend retreats, we had a great time meeting and riding our UTV’s with some of the other guest staying in the park. But what really topped off our weekend visits was the friendliness, helpfulness and responsiveness we received from the entire office, maintenance and cleaning staffs at the park. The gracious and thoughtful ladies in the office are awesome to work with for any assistances, priorities or requests we may have had. The cleanliness of the gym, restrooms, laundry and other facilities was excellent and speaks highly for the courteous staff that oversees those assignments. The maintenance staff was super friendly and always willing to answer any questions, help with concerns or lend a hand if you needed some assistance. Every RV Park staff member would take the time to talk with you for a couple minutes, give some history of the area, direct you to various riding trails, local points of interests or recommend a good place to enjoy a beer or meal. Our stay was so enjoyable that we are booking for next summer and have kept in contact with a couple of the other guest we met so as to join up with them again next year. Thanks for a great experience, Rex & Sally
