North Star Estates Manufactured Home Community Introduce
North Star Estates Manufactured Home Community, located at 3001 Country Dr, Little Canada, MN 55117, USA, is a residential community for manufactured homes. While the broad category "RV Parks Near Me" often encompasses short-term recreational vehicle parking, North Star Estates functions as a permanent living solution for residents in manufactured homes. For those seeking long-term manufactured home living in the Little Canada area, this community may be an option to consider. The park can be reached for inquiries at (651) 484-8567 or +1 651-484-8567.
The environment of North Star Estates is situated in Little Canada, a suburb of the Twin Cities. Little Canada itself is described as a relatively affordable suburb with spacious, family-friendly neighborhoods, many trees, and a convenient location. It is approximately 12 miles northeast of Minneapolis and just five miles north of Saint Paul, offering residents proximity to major metropolitan areas while maintaining a suburban feel. The community is part of the Roseville School District, with several charter schools also nearby. Residents can access various amenities in the surrounding area, including shopping centers like Walmart, Costco, and Sam's Club, as well as local restaurants. Nearby recreational spots include Phalen Regional Park, Harriet Alexander Nature Center, and the Science Museum of Minnesota. North Star Estates consists of 209 home sites, each roughly 50' x 100' with a two-car driveway, providing individual space for residents.
In terms of stated services and features, North Star Estates promotes itself as a unique manufactured home community designed for the convenience of its residents. They highlight an experienced and professional management staff responsible for day-to-day operations, aiming to ensure residents can enjoy landscaped grounds and planned amenities. The community advertises itself as pet-friendly, allowing up to two four-legged pets per household. Available amenities within the community, as advertised, include a basketball court, community events, covered mailboxes, an on-site sales office, a playground, and a storm shelter. These features aim to provide a comfortable and engaging living environment for all ages.
The core feature of North Star Estates, like other manufactured home communities, is the provision of affordable homeownership opportunities. Residents typically own their manufactured homes and lease the land, which can be a more cost-effective entry point into homeownership compared to traditional site-built homes. The community offers a stable residential setting, fostering a sense of neighborhood. Public transportation options are also available in the city, providing convenience for residents to get around. The presence of an on-site sales office suggests that the community may offer new or pre-owned manufactured homes for purchase within the park.
However, it is essential to provide an objective introduction by addressing all available information, including direct feedback from residents. Reviews for North Star Estates indicate significant challenges and dissatisfaction among some residents regarding property maintenance and management responsiveness. Recurring complaints highlight issues such as severe drainage problems, with residents reporting frequent flooding of driveways and the rusting out of vehicles due to standing water. A common frustration is the perceived lack of accountability, with residents reporting that the park management attributes drainage issues to the city, while the city directs responsibility back to the park, leaving the problems unresolved. This lack of resolution has reportedly led to significant financial burdens for some residents due to vehicle damage.
Furthermore, reviews suggest a decline in the overall condition and management of the park over recent years. Residents have expressed concerns about the extreme lack of management caretaking when it comes to street potholes and snow plowing. There are complaints that requests for maintenance are met with assurances that issues are "on it," but then months pass without action, or repairs are carried out with a "bare bones lowest bid poor job." This perceived neglect of infrastructure maintenance directly impacts the quality of life for residents. Some reviews also mention a perceived increase in crime, alongside the lack of management attention to park upkeep, contributing to a sense of the community "going downhill." These critical points of feedback are vital for any prospective resident to consider, as they directly pertain to the daily living experience and the overall quality of community management.
For individuals considering North Star Estates Manufactured Home Community, it is strongly recommended to conduct thorough due diligence. This should include visiting the park to observe its current condition firsthand, especially after rainfall, to assess the drainage issues. Directly engaging with park management to discuss specific concerns raised in reviews, such as infrastructure maintenance, rule enforcement, and responsiveness to resident issues, is crucial. Prospective residents should also clarify what services are included in the lot rent and any additional fees. If possible, speaking with current residents could provide invaluable insights into the day-to-day realities of living in the community and the effectiveness of management. Understanding the lease agreement thoroughly before committing is also paramount to ensure a clear understanding of rights and responsibilities. The park's contact information is (651) 484-8567 or +1 651-484-8567 for direct communication.

North Star Estates Manufactured Home Community Reviews
Would rate zero stars if possible. The pictures are the norm in this park. These are taken from my deck of my driveway. This has happened every single time we get a good rain fall. I complain to the office and they say its the city's problem. I call the city and they say its the parks problem. No one wants to fix it. It has cost me 2 vehicles. They have rusted out and needed to be junked. Thus is an absolute joke!
May 27, 2019 · Jason ZustiakHave lived in this park since 1985 and now for the past few years it's being going down hill both crime and extreme lack of management caretaking when it comes to street potholes, plowing ect.. Tom the park manager needs to be replaced by someone who can do the job correctly and within a timely manner. Have tried communicating with the park and all i ever get is a..we are on it, but then months go by and things still don't get done and when something finally does, it's a bare bones lowest bid poor job. If you can avoid coming here do so.
Oct 08, 2021 · Barry BrieseEnjoy having your rent jacked up by at least $25, every single year, with no additional benefits to show for it. The managers like to close the playground at the drop of a hat, typically because some teenager used a naughty word - like that was somehow my five-year-old's fault? I literally waited 3 years for them to fix the light outside my house - and received nastygrams about once a year about how I needed to replace the bulb.On the other hand, it's a nice little community full of pretty good people. So it's got that going for it.
Feb 17, 2022 · Jessica HoldenLived here for over 20 years. It was a nice place to grow up, but its gotten bad in the last few years. Theft and vandalism is super common now. Someone let the air out of my tires several times, stole my license plate, stole gas from my mother's car, put a nail in the side wall of my mother's car, stolen shovels and so much more. The rules for parking aren't enforced regularly. Its supposed to be 2 cars per drive way but more than a dozen homes pull up their drive way or park in their yard to let a third car in, most of the time still sticking out into the street. Speeders are common, too. People will go 20 or 30 mph and the speed limit is 10 mph. A plus side is rent isn't too bad and most of the neighbours keep to them selves. There is a playground and small basketball court for kids. They also have a storm shelter so that's a win for safety. They are also a little forgiving when it comes to being late with rent. The manager is super nice and friendly, but the owners are making him manage two parks so its hard to get a hold of him. The people who do maintenance suck at their jobs, and they don't know how to plow snow to save their lives. You have to shovel five feet past your driveway to get your car out. The paths they make would hardly fit two smart cars, let alone two normal size ones passing each other. all in all, if you're like 50 with no kids at home, this place is for you
Jun 21, 2018 · Tyler MlenarTom in the office is great I enjoy talking to him.love him fishing tips. Lot fee is low and the yard is a good size. The streets are plowed and salted.yes some people do park on the Street all night but Tom will work with you on that.the only thing I had a problem with were the three kids that ran in my yard and broke my night light for the drive way and Tom took care of that. I'm on a fixed income and I pay lot rent on the 3rd of the month with no late fees. We don't have a mortgage we were able to pay for our great home in full. We went on vacation and as we were driving through the passes of Idaho we get a call from Tom greeting the newest members to the community to me it just felt like you are home. And the community is great and very quiet. We love it here and we aint going no where
