Ponderosa mobile home park Introduce
For local users searching for "RV parks near me" or considering mobile home living options in Cañon City, Colorado, Ponderosa Mobile Home Park, located at 800 Ponderosa Ln, Cañon City, CO 81212, USA, presents a location that, according to one former resident, does offer a potentially appealing view. However, it is crucial to consider the experiences shared by previous residents to gain a comprehensive understanding of the community and its management before making any decisions about residing there, whether in a mobile home or an RV for an extended stay.
Based on the available reviews, it is important to note significant concerns raised by former residents regarding the management and living conditions at Ponderosa Mobile Home Park. One individual who reportedly lived in the park for two and a half years, initially in an RV, described a negative experience. This review alleges issues with a property manager who moved next door, impacting the resident's ability to open windows due to trash and junk in the neighboring yard. Furthermore, this former resident reported experiencing multiple instances of water pipe issues during the winter, leading to several days without water. While the resident took measures to insulate their own pipes, the broader infrastructure problems apparently persisted, resulting in burst pipes and spraying water.
Adding to these concerns, the same reviewer mentioned unsanitary conditions related to pet waste, specifically citing "20 piles of dog poop" from a neighbor's dogs. This paints a picture of potential issues with the enforcement of community cleanliness standards. Despite these significant drawbacks, the reviewer did acknowledge that the location offers a "great view," suggesting a potential scenic advantage that is unfortunately overshadowed by other challenges.
Another highly concerning review comes from a family of five who were reportedly in a difficult situation. This review alleges that the manager, identified as Ms. Hug, refused to turn on their electricity for a period of five months. According to this account, it was only after seeking legal assistance that they were able to gain electric service. Subsequently, the family reportedly received a nonrenewal notice with a move-out date, which was then allegedly shortened in a later bill. This reviewer strongly advises others to avoid any place managed by Joice Hug or owned by Duac Nyguen, emphasizing that "Your family will thank you." This feedback raises serious questions about tenant rights, utility management, and the overall treatment of residents.
Considering the platform category of "RV parks near me," these reviews are particularly relevant for individuals who might be considering Ponderosa Mobile Home Park for extended RV stays. The reported issues with utility infrastructure, specifically the repeated problems with water pipes and the alleged difficulty in obtaining electric service, could significantly impact the comfort and practicality of living in an RV at this location, especially during colder months. The concerns about property management and community cleanliness would also detract from the overall living experience for RVers seeking a pleasant and well-maintained environment.
While the address suggests a specific location in Cañon City, the lack of positive information or details about amenities and services in the provided reviews makes it challenging to offer a balanced introduction. Typically, a mobile home or RV park introduction would include details about lot sizes, utility hookups (water, sewer, electricity), Wi-Fi availability, laundry facilities, community areas, pet policies, and any recreational amenities. However, the provided information is solely focused on negative experiences related to management and infrastructure.
Given the serious nature of the allegations in the reviews, potential residents or extended-stay RVers should exercise extreme caution and conduct thorough due diligence before considering Ponderosa Mobile Home Park. This could involve:
- Visiting the property in person: To assess the current conditions and environment.
- Attempting to speak with current residents: To gain more up-to-date and varied perspectives on living in the park.
- Inquiring about utility management and maintenance procedures: To understand how these critical services are handled.
- Clarifying pet policies and community cleanliness expectations: To ensure these align with personal needs and preferences.
- Researching the property management and ownership: To understand their reputation and track record.
It is important to note that these reviews represent the experiences of specific individuals at particular points in time. Conditions and management practices can potentially change. However, the detailed and concerning nature of these accounts warrants careful consideration. Without any positive reviews or information about the park's intended features and services, it is impossible to provide a standard positive introduction. Instead, the available information strongly suggests the need for thorough investigation and caution for anyone considering residing at Ponderosa Mobile Home Park.
In the context of searching for "RV parks near me," potential RVers typically look for reliable utility hookups, safe and clean environments, and responsive management. The issues raised in the reviews regarding Ponderosa Mobile Home Park directly contradict these expectations. Therefore, until more positive or contrasting information becomes available, it would be prudent for those seeking extended RV stays in Cañon City to explore other options. Similarly, individuals looking for mobile home living in the area should carefully weigh these reported experiences against any potential benefits of the location, such as the mentioned view.
In conclusion, while Ponderosa Mobile Home Park in Cañon City, Colorado, may offer a scenic view according to one former resident, the available reviews highlight significant concerns regarding property management, utility reliability, and community cleanliness. These issues should be carefully considered by anyone searching for "RV parks near me" for an extended stay or exploring mobile home living options in the area. Thorough investigation and direct communication with the current management and residents (if possible) are strongly recommended before making any decisions.

Ponderosa mobile home park Reviews
I live there two and a half years ago and they must have removed my review somehow. I was in an RV and then the property manager moved in next door I couldn't even open up my windows Play handsome man's trash in their yard and junk. And in the winter time never fixed the water pipes so I went several days with no water. And then they burst again and we're spraying water. I insulated my pipes in my part. And the neighbors bacteria for their dogs with cows are like 20 piles of dog poop!!!! It's a shame because it does have a great view.
Sep 27, 2024 · Lynn GeiserMy family of 5 was in a tight place and the manager ms. Hug, refused to turn electric on for the entire 5 months. When we found legal help to gain service we received a nonrenewal notice giving us till 3/1/18. The next bill we got told us to be out by feb first. If at all possible, avoid any place managed by Joice Hug or owned by duac nyguen. Your family will thank you.
Jan 26, 2018 · Joseph PattenGreat place if you are into substandard living conditions the manager has been embezzling for years by not paying any maintenance person's salaries ... Code enforcement needs to do a inspection on every system electric gas and water and sewage honestly that place should be condemned
