When considering "RV parks near me," the environment and management of a community are crucial factors. Sylvan Lake MHC appears to offer a tranquil and secure setting, as highlighted by one resident who describes their home as "quiet, safe," and boasting "the most beautiful views of the lake." This suggests a serene environment that could be attractive to those seeking a peaceful living space, whether in a mobile home or an RV.
The community also seems to be undergoing positive changes. The same reviewer notes that "many of the old manufactured homes are gone, and new ones are being put in." This indicates an ongoing effort to modernize and improve the overall appearance of the park. Furthermore, they mention that the management has "spent time in cleaning up, removing old debris and trees," suggesting a commitment to maintaining an aesthetically pleasing environment. The reviewer specifically thanks Alyse, Joe, and the staff for "caring about the community," indicating a positive relationship between residents and management.
In response to a negative review not provided in the input, two subsequent reviews offer a different perspective on the community's inclusivity and management practices. One review directly addresses claims of discrimination, stating that the property manager is "black" and that the reviewer and their wife, who is also black, recently purchased a home and leased a lot in the community. This directly contradicts any allegations of racial bias and suggests a welcoming environment for individuals of diverse backgrounds.
Another review touches upon the complexities of approval processes for leases, particularly for individuals with less-than-perfect credit. This reviewer emphasizes that it is "not a new concept or uncommon for renting" to have to take extra steps or face denial due to factors like non-payment issues, judgments, or evictions. They suggest that individuals should take responsibility for their own financial history and express disapproval of using accusations of racism to explain a denied lease, particularly when there is evidence to the contrary, such as the property manager being Black and other Black individuals successfully moving into the community. This perspective highlights the importance of financial responsibility in housing applications and cautions against making unfounded accusations.
Based on these reviews, Sylvan Lake MHC appears to be a community that values its residents and is actively working to improve its environment. The management is described as accommodating and caring. The presence of lake views is a significant feature, contributing to the peaceful atmosphere. The ongoing removal of older homes and cleanup efforts suggest a positive trajectory for the community's overall appearance and quality of life. Moreover, the direct contradiction of discrimination claims and the successful integration of Black residents indicate an inclusive community.
Information regarding specific services and features relevant to RV stays is not explicitly detailed in these reviews. However, typical mobile home communities often provide basic utility hookups. Given the positive remarks about management and community upkeep, it is plausible that these services are well-maintained. Potential RVers would need to inquire directly about the availability and specifics of RV accommodations, such as site sizes, hookups (water, sewer, electricity), and any amenities specifically catering to RVs.
Similarly, promotional information for attracting new residents, including potential RVers, is not provided in the given reviews. Local users interested in any current incentives or special offers should contact Sylvan Lake MHC directly.
In conclusion, for local users exploring "RV parks near me," Sylvan Lake MHC in Pontiac, MI, offers a potentially attractive option with its beautiful lake views, quiet and safe environment, and ongoing improvements. The accommodating and caring management, along with the inclusive nature of the community as indicated by resident experiences, are significant positives. While specific details about RV accommodations and services would need to be confirmed with the management, the overall positive sentiment from residents suggests a welcoming and well-maintained community that may be suitable for long-term RV living. Prospective residents are encouraged to reach out to Sylvan Lake MHC to discuss their needs and learn more about what this lakeside community has to offer.

The management were very accommodating when I addressed my concerns. We love our home. Our home is quiet, safe, and we have the most beautiful views of the lake. Many of the old manufactured homes are gone, and ones are being put in. They have spent time in cleaning up, removing old debris and trees.Alyse, Joe, and staff thanks for caring about the community!
Jan 26, 2025 · Wendy BrownWe love the one review on here about trying to buy one of the homes but was denied... Lol wow what outrageous claims! Did she even pay attention to the fact the property manager is also "black" that has to be farthest thing from the truth since my wife and I (who is black)just bought a home here and leasing a lot 9 days ago..I know having bad credit makes things harder in life at times when your not able to be approved or turned down. We even needed to take extra steps to ensure we could be approved for a lot lease. This is not a new concept or uncommon for renting. non payment issues, judgements or evictions can sting for a long time. With time it can be over come. I think this person needs to take responsibility of her own faults and mistakes regardless! And be ashamed of herself for using her boyfriend to make false accusations of racism because she was upset for being denied a lease! Defamation of character. It's in poor taste and illegal if you infact were able to cause the owner issues from it. Also what's worse she was attempting to spread hate
Oct 14, 2022 · William KennerI have lived here for 3 years and counting and couldn't be happier! Besides the great community, the views off the all sports lake are beautiful year round.
Oct 18, 2017 · ShanelOverall giving this place a rating of 2 stars, never ending commotion with the cops getting called every other week for the neighbors across the way battles, the management team seems to be absent after 3:30-4 most week days, every other day and seems like on Friday's the office is closed also the whole day. Then soon after the management leaves you have Children riding atv's, dirt bikes, and other motorized vehicles down the street like the coast is clear trying to dodge them when backing out and driving around the community to turn around when parking isn't crunched. Great place to live when the park is forcing out tenants to "Maximize" rental profits then actual residential renovations.
Aug 03, 2023 · Vibe EntertainmentThe new move ins are the worst trailer 38 will block canal road with multiple cars they leave there trash wherever. They have pitbulls being neglected all you here is them whining about being on a 3 foot chain sometimes the dogs get loose. Then there's another new move in with giant dogs that bark very loud. Management does not care. There isn't assigned parking so so you may come home from work thinking you can park next to your place and that's not the case anymore this place is filling up with disrespectful arrogant peopleim pretty sure these are section 8 so management is guaranteed a check from the state and do not care about the residents. This place in short is turning into a ghetto. Run as fast as you can away from this management. After your review it's auto reply lmao don't think management cares
