For local users in the Tampa, Florida area exploring housing options and searching within the platform category of "RV parks near me," it's beneficial to also consider the possibilities offered by mobile home communities like Village of Tampa Mobile Home Community, located at 1201 Skipper Rd, Tampa, FL 33613, USA. While not traditional RV parks catering to temporary stays, these communities provide a longer-term residential setting that can appeal to individuals and families seeking a community-oriented environment. Understanding the features, services, and resident experiences of Village of Tampa can offer valuable insights for those considering various housing solutions in the local area.
Village of Tampa Mobile Home Community can be contacted by phone at (866) 817-3224 or via mobile at +1 866-817-3224. These contact details are crucial for local users who wish to inquire about lot availability, the process of purchasing a home within the community, rental options (if available), community guidelines, and any other specific information. For individuals actively seeking a place to live in Tampa, having direct contact information allows for efficient information gathering.
When evaluating a residential community, whether it's an RV park or a mobile home park, factors such as the environment, amenities, and the overall sense of community are paramount. The available feedback for Village of Tampa Mobile Home Community from online reviews presents a mixed but generally positive picture of these aspects. One reviewer described it as a "hidden gem" and a "very well maintained mobile home community," noting its quiet atmosphere and suitability for raising a family. This positive initial impression suggests a well-kept and peaceful environment that could be attractive to local users seeking a stable and family-friendly neighborhood.
This positive review further highlighted the "exceptional" amenities, specifically mentioning a "stunning pool and hot tub," a "covered play area," and a "great exercise facility" all located on the property. These on-site amenities can significantly enhance the quality of life for residents, providing opportunities for recreation, relaxation, and fitness without having to leave the community. The reviewer also praised the staff as "extremely polite," creating a welcoming atmosphere akin to checking in at a "high-end resort," and strongly recommended living in the community for those in the market for a new place.
Another reviewer echoed the positive sentiments regarding the beauty of most of the homes, the "awesome" neighbors, and the "great" amenities. This reinforces the idea of a well-maintained community with a positive social environment and attractive facilities for residents to enjoy. These aspects can be particularly appealing to local users looking for a strong sense of community and convenient access to recreational opportunities.
However, this second reviewer also raised some significant concerns. One issue mentioned was that "homes are over priced," which could be a deterrent for budget-conscious local users. Additionally, the presence of "stray cats everywhere" and "ducks everywhere that will shit all over your carport" were noted as potential nuisances that could detract from the living experience. These environmental factors might be important considerations for individuals who prefer a more controlled and less wildlife-centric environment.
Furthermore, the second reviewer shared a negative experience regarding property management regulations, stating that processing an insurance claim for a new roof took over a year. This raises concerns about the efficiency and responsiveness of the property management in handling significant maintenance issues. The difficulty in selling their home, with no serious offers after almost eight months, could also indicate potential challenges in the real estate market within the community or perhaps pricing issues, aligning with the earlier comment about homes being overpriced.
Finally, the second reviewer mentioned that the "price for the lot fee" is raised every year. This is a common practice in many mobile home communities, but the rate and consistency of these increases are important factors for residents to consider in their long-term budgeting.
Considering the platform category "RV parks near me," it's important to remember that Village of Tampa Mobile Home Community offers a more permanent residential setting. While some RV parks might have amenities, the scale and focus on long-term living are typically more pronounced in mobile home communities. The amenities described at Village of Tampa, such as the pool, hot tub, play area, and exercise facility, are features that can significantly enhance the lifestyle of long-term residents.
Based on the available reviews, Village of Tampa Mobile Home Community appears to offer a well-maintained environment with attractive amenities and a positive sense of community. However, prospective local users should carefully consider the potential drawbacks mentioned, including potentially overpriced homes, the presence of stray animals, and potential challenges with property management responsiveness and increasing lot fees.
For local users interested in exploring Village of Tampa Mobile Home Community further, it is strongly recommended to contact the management directly using the provided phone numbers to inquire about current home prices, lot fees, pet policies, and the process for purchasing or renting (if applicable) a home within the community. Asking specific questions based on the concerns raised in the reviews, such as how animal issues are managed and the typical timeline for maintenance requests, can provide valuable insights.
Visiting the community in person would also be highly beneficial to assess the overall environment, the condition of the amenities, and the general atmosphere. If possible, speaking with current residents could offer a more nuanced understanding of the day-to-day living experience in Village of Tampa Mobile Home Community.
In conclusion, Village of Tampa Mobile Home Community presents itself as a potentially attractive option for local users in Tampa seeking a well-maintained, amenity-rich, and community-oriented residential environment. However, prospective residents should also be aware of the potential downsides related to housing costs, animal presence, property management responsiveness, and increasing lot fees, and conduct thorough due diligence to determine if this community aligns with their individual needs and preferences.

Mar 15, 2025 · shannon mathisMost of the homes are beautiful, neighbors are awesome and amenities are great. But homes are over priced, stray cats everywhere, and there are ducks everywhere that will shit all over your carport. Tried processing a insurance claim, took over a year to get a new roof because of the property management regulations. Had my home up for sell for almost 8 months and never got a serious offer. Also they raise the price for the lot fee every year.
Mar 01, 2025 · Miguel Gonzalez-Cortes2k water Bill in one month..had 2 pay for sum1 else's error. Had to have leak inspection completed cost $300. Charged excessive late fees. After all said and Done!! No Leaks jus all my money GONE. Water Company authorized a REFUND/CREDIT but never received. The Village Mgt stated they don't give REFUND/CREDIT.
Apr 22, 2025 · Phyllis PowellWe has been living in this community for the last 17 years. It is ok but could be better. There are some houses that need outside attention. We live in the lot 405 and our neighbor to the right doesn't care about the outdoor patio. That's one of the examples.
Nov 29, 2024 · RAMON BERMUDEZBeen here living for 12 plus years. Although is a safe community to live in; the administration is terrible. They do not enforce their own rules and contract policy, allowing violations. They have also kept on excessively rising the lots rents each single year making really hard to keep a budget. You can actually pay more for lot than house loan amount. When you need some help with normal issues, the manager does not act professionally. The corporate staff needs to look into changing management community before it gets worse.
