The people who ran the campground were friendly and helpful. Our spot was level enough that we didn't have to use blocks and the utilities were close. We also had a nice view of the river and cliffs from our campsite. The shower room was very clean and spacious. The timer on the lights needs to be extended so that you don't have the lights turn out on you during the middle of your shower though. The entertainment and ice cream truck on Saturday night were nice and a lot of people did show up for those events. We had a great stay and met some really nice people.
Apr 06, 2025 · Jimmy SizemoreWe had a fantastic time at this campground! The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, making our stay even more enjoyable. The campground is clean and well-kept . The sites are spacious, with concrete pads, Our site, with a front river view, was beautiful and had easy access to the hiking trail. We spent 7 months here, and it was truly awesome. The dog park was also fantastic—our dogs loved it! We can’t wait to return someday.
Mar 22, 2025 · Andrea EscobarThis is a top notch campground. One of the best we have stayed at. Great and clean bathrooms. We had a beautiful site right next to the river. They have everything here; great camp store, pool, volleyball, tetherball, riverside fire pits, kayak rental, dog park etc. The sites are very clean and new looking. The staff were all friendly and nice.I would definitely return, hopefully for longer next time. We were there for two nights in the middle of the week and it was 3/4 full, so I imagine the weekends book up quickly. I could easily spend a couple weeks here to visit some distilleries and Lexington is an easy drive too.
Mar 29, 2025 · Scott Van de MotterWhat a lovely campground! Greeted by very friendly folks upon our arrival! Facilities are very clean! Had live music on the Saturday night we were there which was very good! Food trucks available. Laundry room was very clean. Sites level and well maintained! I hope we get an opportunity to return and stay longer!
Mar 31, 2025 · Lorraine WonnerGreat campground and the staff couldn’t be more helpful and friendly! For the location, the road was the narrow (we actually scraped our rig on some branches when an amazon truck passed us), but that’s not their fault. Very spotty wifi, but this is what camping and “getting away from it all” is all about. Spending time by the fire pit with friends, looking at all the stars. Definitely put this campground on your list of great places to stay!
