Grand Haven Resort Reviews
First time here. We had a great time camping here. Even though many areas need upgrades, the staff are great, with facilities kept clean. Lots of activities to enjoy at the campgrounds. Lake Michigan is only a few miles away. We didn't want to leave & will surely return often.
Aug 25, 2024 · Rick KuzdakWe stayed in 2 different spots. The first was a cute rustic cabin. It needs a new air conditioner other than that it was a good stay there. The second spot was one of the Lodges. Living room, kitchen area not bad. The mini fridge needs to be replaced. The shower had mold and the doors leaked at the bottom seals. The beds had dust on the boards as well as cobwebs and spider webs in the corner walls and ceilings. Like whoever cleans only cleans the easy to reach areas. My sister and daughter both have issues with those things. So the lodge is not a good place for people with allergies. My sister spent her first day in the lodge cleaning the shower. I swept away the webs and dusted off the beds as well.Cleaning crew needs to be taught to not miss the hard to reach spots.Did like that the lodge was fully furnished. And house keeping brought what was needed when we asked for more linens. Maintenance guy did come and cauk one part of the shower.Beds were comfy so that was good. And the lodge was pretty comfortable otherwise.
Aug 16, 2024 · Mari BattjesThere are several cabins to rent. This is a membership campground... We are hoping this season is, at a minimum, clean (unlike previous years). Some positives:- The staff are very friendly, which is a fantastic change.- There is a beautiful swimming pool. Both a kids, shallow pool and an adult pool.- There are Go Karts.-Golf cart rentals are very expensive but available.- There is miniature golf- The bathrooms/showers are always very clean.- The check-in process was very easy.- The speed bumps are in place. Some points of concern:- The playground is in need of repair. Climbing toys are rusted and very loose.- The hay ride trailer is obviously not usable. But it is completely open and not blocked off for children of all ages to climb on and get hurt.- Considerable amounts of trash and debris in the sand and on the covered patio.- There is trash on the roof.- The store location that burned down still hasn't been rebuilt, and the temporary store is hardly that. It needs many upgrades to be considered useful.- The speed bumps are horrible even at the 5 mph park speed limit. Campers will continue to drive around them.- The gazebo seats are rusted and showing exposed metal.Overall: Understood this place is a business, and the main objective is to make money. But what do you do with the monthly membership fees? It is becoming aparrent you are NOT putting it back into the park. NUMEROUS members have asked, "Do they even care about the camper?" Unfortunately, we're not convinced you do.
Jun 25, 2024 · Daniel RyktarsykGo karts and fun and affordable. Hwy noise isn't the best but I knew that before coming here the staff is friendly and the 3rd shift security is 10 out of 5 stars. Our dog escaped our kids tent and he recused him and brought him back. God bless him.
Aug 16, 2024 · jesse gould10/6/23A slightly older RV Park with cute cabins and park models to rent. Could use a little updating, but quite charming. There is a regular pool and a kids pool, Go cart track and Miniature Golf. About 5 miles from lake Michigan. Currently no camp store due to fire. The staff are absolutely amazing from the gate to housekeeping to maintenance. We were treated like royalty. Thank you ODA Grand Haven staff.
