Misty River RV Park and Glamping, located at 11300 Wilson River Hwy, Tillamook, OR 97141, USA, presents a diverse range of accommodation options nestled along the picturesque Wilson River in Tillamook, Oregon. This location serves as an ideal basecamp for exploring the stunning Oregon Coast and the natural beauty of Tillamook County.
Misty River RV Park and Glamping caters to a variety of travel preferences, offering traditional RV sites alongside charming cabins and distinctive yurts. For RV enthusiasts searching within the "RV parks near me" category, the park provides sites with varying hookup options. While specific details about the number of full hookup sites, partial hookups, or primitive sites aren't explicitly available online, it's advisable to contact them directly at (503) 842-2750 or +1 503-842-2750 to inquire about site availability and amenities that meet your specific RV needs. Given the positive review mentioning tent camping, it's likely they also accommodate tent campers.
Beyond RV sites, Misty River RV Park and Glamping distinguishes itself by offering unique lodging experiences through its cabins and yurts. According to a positive customer review, both the cabins and yurts are described as "wonderful and worth every penny" and "rather affordable." These options provide a comfortable and memorable alternative to traditional camping, potentially offering amenities like beds, heating, and unique architectural features. If you're seeking a step up from tent camping or looking for a novel lodging experience within the "RV parks near me" search, the glamping options at Misty River RV Park could be an excellent choice.
The environment of Misty River RV Park and Glamping is a significant draw, with the Wilson River being a central feature. The positive review highlights that "the river makes this place so worth it every time." This suggests that guests can enjoy the sights and sounds of the river, and potentially engage in activities such as fishing or simply relaxing by the water. The natural surroundings of Tillamook County are known for their lush forests and proximity to the Oregon Coast, offering opportunities for hiking, exploring beaches, and enjoying the coastal scenery.
Information regarding specific services and features of Misty River RV Park and Glamping is somewhat mixed based on the available online reviews. One review expresses significant dissatisfaction, alleging issues such as "filthy bathrooms and overflowing dumpsters," unreliable Wi-Fi, pest infestations (mice, rats, and cats), an unsafe play structure, and an ungrounded electrical box. This review paints a concerning picture of the park's maintenance and safety. Conversely, another review from a repeat customer praises the campground, highlighting positive experiences over multiple visits, including being "squeezed in last minute" and enjoying both the traditional accommodations and the unique cabin and yurt options.
Given the conflicting nature of these reviews, it's crucial for potential visitors to seek current and detailed information directly from Misty River RV Park and Glamping. Inquire specifically about the condition of facilities such as restrooms, waste disposal, and any recreational amenities. If traveling with children, it would be prudent to ask about the safety and condition of any play areas. Similarly, if Wi-Fi is a necessity, confirm its reliability and availability at your chosen site or accommodation.
The positive review mentions that Misty River RV Park and Glamping can get busy during the summer and recommends booking ahead. This suggests that the park is a popular destination, at least for some visitors. It also implies that there may be seasonal variations in availability and potentially pricing. To get the most accurate information about promotional offers, seasonal rates, or discounts for longer stays, contacting the park directly is recommended. They may offer special packages or deals that are not publicly advertised.
In conclusion, Misty River RV Park and Glamping offers a unique blend of traditional RV camping and distinctive glamping options in the scenic Tillamook area of the Oregon Coast. The presence of the Wilson River is a significant positive aspect mentioned by a satisfied customer. However, a contrasting review raises serious concerns about the park's maintenance and safety standards. Prospective guests should carefully consider these differing perspectives and prioritize direct communication with the park management at (503) 842-2750 or +1 503-842-2750 to obtain current information about the environment, services, features, and any ongoing promotions. By doing so, you can make an informed decision about whether Misty River RV Park and Glamping aligns with your expectations for "RV parks near me" or a memorable glamping experience.

Misty River RV Park and Glamping Reviews
Was completely appalled at the owner and managers unprofessional rude behavior. Filthy bathrooms and overflowing dumpsters and wifi going down every 3 minutes were just added perks. The mice, rats and cat infestation made it impossible to let your kids play outside. Well that and the unsafe falling over play structure. The electrical box at our site wasn't grounded and everyone got shocked. Wow! Very disappointed, and discussted with our experience there, longest week of my life. Would not recommend to anyone.
Aug 16, 2024 · kelly bennettI cannot say enough good things about this place, it was me my bf and our 2 dogs 3rd visit to this campground over the last 2 years and they have been wonderful every time. They squeezed us in last minute this weekend for a night and we tent camped for the first time here, our last two stays were at the cabin and the yurt which are both wonderful and worth every penny, they’re also rather affordable! The river makes this place so worth it every time and will be on our go to list for a long time! Book ahead as they get busy during summer but they are worth it!
Jul 08, 2024 · JJ Davidson1 night yurt rental during a 4-man motorcycle tour. Easy advance phone registration. Friendly welcome by a staffer. Yurt was clean and comfortable (June 2024). Reasonable rate. Free warm showers. Right beside the river and (busy) hiway. We'd stay here again, hopefully after they take a pressure washer to the siding of the structures. 😉
Jul 05, 2024 · Ron WoodheadDont miss this Little Gem! Couldn't have asked for a better experience. The owner Barry is the nicest. All the joy of camping without the stress of setting up a tent and site. Easy clean lighted bathroom right next door. Fish cleaning station and wood available for purchase for fires. They even have a TV with Netflix if you or your kids need a tech fix. Free hot showers on site. Keep in mind that some of the park is older but compared to other facilities its a dream. Obviously well thought out and cared for. Bring bedding for the Yurt!
Jun 14, 2024 · Emma AllanNice location but you will be staying in a trailer camp. The people who are in RVs or who actually live here don’t seem to take kindly to those camping in tents or staying here for fun. It’s a bit territorial and the “residents” keep their spots filled with trash and random collections of items that look like they haven’t been used in years. There is a well kept bathroom, laundry & mens/womens showers so that is a plus. It’s very expensive thou for the two “tent camping” sites at the end of the RV (Trailer park) row where you have two fire rings two picnic tables and a small parcel of grass to be shared by two tent campsites. One of the picnic tables had a dead animal skin baked onto it so that was rather interesting. If you are tent camping thou you will be right next to the trailer park/RV’s and the families right upon the border make it pretty obvious they are not thrilled tent campers are here so your mileage may vary when it comes to how great of a stay you’ll have for the high cost of being here.People working here are nice & like I said. There is a bathroom and shower so that is a plus.
