One of the standout features highlighted by visitors is the park's layout and infrastructure, which caters well to the needs of modern RV travelers. It is described as "more like a traditional RV" park, offering the convenience of "full hookups" and "pull-through options." Full hookups typically include connections for water, electricity, and sewer, providing a comfortable and self-sufficient experience for RV stays. Pull-through sites are particularly beneficial for larger RVs and those who prefer not to back in, allowing for easier arrival and departure.
The atmosphere of the Tillamook, OR Elks RV Park & Picnic Area is consistently praised for its peacefulness. One reviewer noted the "large quiet peaceful sites and a lot of open spaces," suggesting a sense of tranquility and room to relax. This is a significant draw for those seeking respite from crowded campgrounds and a more serene environment to enjoy their time on the Oregon Coast.
The hospitality at the park also receives high marks, with specific mention of the "friendly camp host" who ensures a smooth and pleasant stay for guests. While one reviewer was reminded of the "5MPH rule" and the "reservations only" policy, they also appreciated the host's helpfulness in finding a spot despite their lack of a prior booking. This suggests that while it's advisable to make reservations, the staff is accommodating and strives to assist travelers when possible.
The location of the RV park is another significant advantage, offering a balance of peaceful seclusion and convenient access to local amenities and attractions. One guest who extended their stay during the off-season highlighted that the park is "minutes away from town, the Ocean and great hiking trails." This proximity allows visitors to easily explore the charming town of Tillamook, enjoy the scenic Oregon coastline, and take advantage of the numerous outdoor recreational opportunities in the area.
Nature enthusiasts will appreciate the park's proximity to attractions like Munson Creek Falls State Park, which is recommended as a must-visit. While one reviewer noted that "the road back there is full of potholes," they also emphasized its beauty, suggesting that the scenic drive is well worth the slightly challenging road conditions. The park's location also makes it a convenient base for day trips to other notable destinations along the Oregon Coast, such as Astoria, which is mentioned as being "just an hour or so" away.
The exceptional service provided by the "Camp Hosts, Pat and Bob" is also highlighted in a review, with the guest stating that they "go that extra mile to make your stay there the best ever." Such personalized and dedicated service can significantly enhance the overall experience of staying at an RV park, creating a welcoming and supportive environment for travelers.
Navigating to the park is generally straightforward, although one reviewer pointed out a potential issue with GPS directions. They cautioned that "Entrance to park can be tricky as Google will try to route you on to the street before the correct entrance (if traveling northbound on the 101)." This is valuable information for those driving to the park, advising them to be mindful of the actual entrance location rather than solely relying on GPS navigation, especially when approaching from the north on Highway 101.
It's also worth noting that the Tillamook Elks Lodge, which likely sponsors or is affiliated with the RV park, is located approximately "4 miles north of the campground." While the specific relationship between the lodge and the RV park isn't detailed, Elks Lodges often provide welcoming environments and amenities for their members and the wider community. This association could potentially offer additional benefits or a sense of community for Elks members staying at the RV park.

Tillamook, OR Elks RV Park & Picnic Area Reviews
This is more like a traditional RV with the layout, full hookups and pull-through options. The friendly camp host, reminded me of the 5MPH rule and they are reservations only. Luckily she found a spot for me. Large quiet peaceful sites and a lot of open spaces. Entrance to park can be tricky as Google will try to route you on to the street before the correct entrance (if traveling northbound on the 101). The lodge is about 4 miles north of the campground.
Jul 26, 2022 · TC FlanaganI love it. I'm here during the off season and extended my stay. You are minutes away from town, the Ocean and great hiking trails. Be sure to check out Munson Creek Falls State Park. The road back there is full of potholes, but so beautiful. Just an hour or so from Astoria, great day trip. Camp Hosts, Pat and Bob go that extra mile to make your stay there the best ever.
Mar 21, 2020 · Lanelle RogersDon’t be put off by the junkyard you have to drive through when you turn East off of HWY 101. The Lodge apparently has an easement to access their property. Go in about a hundred yards and the landscape changes remarkably. The campground is very spacious and well kept. WiFi was excellent when we were there but apparently it may be unreliable at times. We experienced 60 Mbps down and 84.2 Mbps up at 5:30 pm on a Monday. It’s refreshing that there are specific and boldly stated rules for visitors. Speed limits and pet cleanup rules must be observed. Reservations are required (just a phone call but no deposit). Check in by 3:00 (or notify host of later arrival) and no check ins after 6:00pm. Violations result in automatic revocation of reservation.Merry Christmas (read the sign). The sites are mostly level and the utilities are well maintained. Generally speaking it is a top notch no frills place to stop over for a few nights while exploring the Oregon coast.
Nov 22, 2022 · Gary SmithLet me start by saying that this is a Elks Member Campground, but member's are allowed to bring guests. We stopped here for 3 nights while on a family road trip and it was beautiful. The sites are level and are full hook up, but on gravel with grass on either side. There is some Wi-Fi, but not strong enough to stream shows, movies or play games, but it was good enough for doing some work and school assignments. There were also wide open fields that our pups loved to run around on, on leash of course. But they had a blast and enjoyed rolling around and running all over - great to tire them out before bed. Each site was also set up with a fire pit and picnic table. This has been one of our favorite stops thus far on our trip along the coast and hope to come back again soon!
Feb 03, 2022 · Andie G.We really enjoyed this park. Lots of wide open grassy areas. Good amount of space between sites and plenty of room for truck and fifth wheel. Huge grassy area for the dogs to run off leash—they loved it. We hope to visit again.
