River's Edge Communities East and West Introduce
While you might be searching for "RV parks near me," it's important to consider all types of housing options in the North Fort Myers, Florida area, including mobile home parks like River's Edge Communities East and West. Located at 1064 N Tamiami Trl, North Fort Myers, FL 33903, USA, River's Edge Communities can be reached at (239) 995-4188 or +1 239-995-4188. However, it is crucial for potential residents to be aware of recent feedback from individuals who have lived in this community, particularly in the aftermath of Hurricane Ian.
Recent reviews paint a concerning picture of the environment and living conditions at River's Edge Communities East and West. One reviewer explicitly states, "This place needs a seawall. Any rain floods the place. It's not a safe place." This suggests a significant issue with drainage and susceptibility to flooding, even under normal rainfall conditions, which was reportedly exacerbated by Hurricane Ian. The reviewer further notes that the community, while "cute before Ian," now faces challenges related to cleanliness and noise levels, attributing these changes to new residents.
Another detailed review from a former five-year resident, who lived at River's Edge both before and after Hurricane Ian, corroborates the flooding concerns. This individual lost their trailer in the hurricane but initially found some support from the new management, who rented them an apartment and honored their previous deposit. However, the situation reportedly deteriorated over time. The rent was allegedly increased by $125 for landscaping and trash removal, despite issues such as a tree growing into the resident's window and a consistently overflowing single dumpster serving the entire neighborhood.
The former resident also recounts a significant issue with their air conditioning unit, which they claim was ignored by management, ultimately leading to their decision to move out. Furthermore, they allege unethical and potentially illegal behavior by the management regarding their property and the premature renting of their apartment after they had paid for their last month. This paints a picture of potentially problematic management practices that prospective residents should be aware of.
The reviews suggest that while River's Edge Communities might have been perceived as more appealing in the past ("It was cute before Ian"), the experience of residents post-hurricane has been largely negative. The lack of adequate infrastructure to prevent flooding appears to be a major concern, potentially posing a safety risk to residents and their property. The issues with waste management, landscaping, and responsiveness to maintenance requests further detract from the quality of life within the community.
The comment about an increase in noise and a perceived lack of cleanliness in some areas post-hurricane also warrants consideration. While the reviewer acknowledges that it is "their home too" in reference to other residents, these changes in community dynamics could impact the living experience for others seeking a peaceful environment.
Given the strong negative feedback regarding flooding, management practices, and the overall living environment, it is difficult to identify positive features or services based solely on these recent reviews. The affordability mentioned ("The place is relatively cheap") is presented in the context of significant drawbacks, suggesting that the lower cost may come at the expense of safety, maintenance, and reliable management.
No promotional information is provided in the reviews. In light of the serious concerns raised by former residents, potential newcomers should exercise extreme caution and conduct thorough due diligence before considering River's Edge Communities East and West as a place to live, whether in a mobile home or an apartment. Visiting the property in person, especially after rainfall, and attempting to speak with current residents directly (if possible) would be advisable to gain a more comprehensive understanding of the current conditions.
In conclusion, while River's Edge Communities East and West is located in North Fort Myers, FL, and may appear as an option when searching for housing in the area, including under the broader category of "RV parks near me" (as some mobile home parks do accommodate RVs), recent feedback highlights significant issues. Potential residents should be aware of the reported problems with flooding, post-hurricane recovery, management responsiveness, and changes in the community environment before making any decisions. The information available strongly suggests that further investigation is warranted and caution should be exercised.

This place needs a seawall. Any rain floods. The place. It's not a safe place. It was cute before Ian..now it's full of people who can't speak english.or clean up there lot. Loud music constantly. But it's their home too. The next Storm will destroy this place again.🦋🙏
Sep 19, 2024 · Tracey PickrellI lived here 5 years, two before Ian and three afterwards. Lost trailer in hurricane, and new management was willing to rent me apartment and keep old deposit. It was fine at first, then rent was raised $125 for landscaping and trash removal. I had a tree growing into my window and the single dumpster for the whole neighborhood is constantly overflowing. My AC unit stopped working, management decided to ignore my complaint so I had enough and decided to move. The place is relatively cheap, but built very wrong and constantly floods into apartments after heavy rains . I am currently moving out, and last month paid, management decided to take my property and start renting out apartment very illegally with no notice. Stay far away from this place, they will rip you off.
