Svensen Mobile Home Park Introduce
Svensen Mobile Home Park is located in Astoria, Oregon, 97103, USA. While a specific street address and contact information are not provided in the available data, it is situated within the Astoria area, offering a residential option for those seeking long-term housing. For local users browsing under the category 'RV parks near me', Svensen Mobile Home Park represents a community focused on manufactured homes and longer-term residency, distinguishing it from typical short-term recreational vehicle parks.
Based on the limited information available, perspectives on Svensen Mobile Home Park appear to be varied and span across different time periods. One individual recalls a positive experience from 1991-1992, mentioning the friendly people they met during their time there. They also reference the convenience of nearby amenities such as King's Pizza across the road, a "big boat house," and a bus line with a bench. This nostalgic recollection paints a picture of a community with a local flavor and some accessible surroundings in the early 1990s.
However, a more recent review presents a significant concern regarding the park's management. This account details a distressing situation involving a resident who owned a home in the park and was reportedly being evicted due to unpaid lot fees by individuals they had allowed to live with them. The reviewer expresses strong disapproval of the manager's handling of the situation, describing the manager as "heartless" and questioning their suitability for the role. This narrative raises serious concerns about the fairness and compassion of the park's management practices and the security of homeownership within the community under the current administration.
The stark contrast between these two reviews highlights the importance of considering the context and potential changes over time when evaluating a residential community. The positive memory from the early 1990s suggests that Svensen Mobile Home Park may have once fostered a strong sense of community and offered a pleasant living environment. However, the more recent and detailed negative review regarding the manager's actions paints a concerning picture of the current management and its potential impact on residents.
Given the serious nature of the allegations in the negative review, prospective residents are strongly advised to exercise extreme caution and conduct thorough due diligence before considering Svensen Mobile Home Park as a place to live. The review suggests potential risks related to management practices and the security of one's property within the park.
While specific services, features, and the overall environment of Svensen Mobile Home Park are not detailed in the provided information, typical mobile home parks generally offer:
- Long-Term Residency: Designed for individuals and families to live in their manufactured homes on a long-term basis.
- Space Rental: Residents typically rent the land or "space" their mobile home occupies.
- Utilities: Access to essential utilities such as water, sewer, and electricity hookups. The responsibility for payment and connection may vary.
Amenities can vary significantly between mobile home parks. Some may offer common areas like clubhouses, laundry facilities, playgrounds, or recreational spaces, while others may be more basic. The absence of this information for Svensen Mobile Home Park underscores the need for direct inquiry.
For local users in Astoria, OR, who are exploring housing options and come across Svensen Mobile Home Park through the broader category of 'RV parks near me', it is crucial to understand the fundamental difference. RV parks typically cater to temporary stays for recreational vehicles, while mobile home parks are designed for long-term residential living in manufactured homes.
Considering the significant negative feedback regarding the current management, any promotional information or positive features from the past may not accurately reflect the present living conditions. Therefore, instead of focusing on potential promotions or general features of mobile home parks, the emphasis must be on urging potential residents to investigate the current situation thoroughly.
Prospective residents who are considering Svensen Mobile Home Park should take the following steps:
- Attempt to find current contact information for the park management. This may require online searches or local inquiries within Astoria.
- If contact is established, directly and thoroughly inquire about current management practices, policies regarding lot fees and evictions, and the overall community environment. Ask for clarification on the situation described in the negative review, if possible.
- Visit the location in Astoria, OR 97103, USA. Observe the general appearance of the park and try to gauge the atmosphere.
- If possible and appropriate, attempt to speak with current residents to get firsthand accounts of their experiences with the management and the community. This can provide invaluable insights into the day-to-day living conditions.
- Carefully review any lease agreements and park rules before making any commitments. Pay close attention to policies regarding fees, evictions, and resident rights.
Given the serious concerns raised in the recent review, proceeding with caution is paramount. Potential residents should prioritize their security and well-being and ensure they have a clear understanding of the current management practices and community environment before making a decision about living in Svensen Mobile Home Park. The stark contrast in the provided feedback underscores the need for thorough and up-to-date information gathering.

Svensen Mobile Home Park Reviews
Met some amazing people there. I was 16 years old in 1991-1992. Kings pizza was just across the road. big boat house and a bus line equipped with a bench. That's a piece of my memory to share.
Dec 23, 2023 · Nancy Ann BarcottUnfortunately I know of a few people who have lived here, in fact a great friend of mine, owns a house there, but the manager is kicking him out of his own home, because the failure to pay lot fees, my friend out of the goodness of his heart let a couple move in that were homeless with a baby. Well soon there was some conflict if interest and life go so unbearable for my friend and he was forced to leave his own home, well the homeless couple trashed his house and failed to pay lot fees, unfortunately my friend didn't know that they weren't paying, so the manager is kicking him out and apparently keeping his trailer. If anyone were to ask me if I'd move there, I would highly doubt it, because I'd rather be homeless then to be living with a heartless manager ever. I hope the owners of the property do a review of this situation and the manager looses his or her, job. Because aa manager like that, shouldn't be a manager at all.
Dec 22, 2021 · Jeffrey HawkinsIt's a little area serving 9 -10 trailers. It's located about 1 mile from the country market store, just passed the sheriff station. Could it use a makeover?Absolutely. It seems quiet, friendly ish, and well, serves its purpose I suppose. The wild berries in the back are awesome.
May 20, 2019 · Kelly AvilaUnder new management and they have tore down delapetated trailers. But its still not a nice looking place. Lots of work to be done. But is quiet and liveable
Oct 15, 2022 · Michael BrownI have always had good experience there. I have a great friend whom I see periodically. The park for the most part is quiet and clean, and children do stay there
