Camp Haven Introduce
Searching for "camping near me" in the Fairview, Utah area? Camp Haven, located on an Unnamed Road in Fairview, UT 84629, presents a unique camping environment primarily utilized by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints for youth activities throughout the summer. While specific details for general public camping are limited based on the provided information, the existing reviews offer insights into the campground's environment and some of its features, particularly those geared towards organized group activities. You can reach them at (801) 502-6768 or +1 801-502-6768 for any inquiries.
The environment of Camp Haven is described as "beautiful" by one reviewer, suggesting a scenic and potentially natural setting in the Fairview, Utah region. Fairview is situated in central Utah, known for its mountainous landscapes and outdoor recreational opportunities. It's reasonable to infer that Camp Haven benefits from this natural beauty, likely offering a pleasant and engaging outdoor environment for its users. However, since the primary use is for organized youth camps, the overall atmosphere might be geared towards group activities rather than individual or family camping seeking solitude. The specific layout of campsites, the presence of communal areas, and the general ambiance would likely reflect its purpose as a youth activity center.
Information regarding the standard services offered at Camp Haven for general camping is not explicitly detailed in the provided reviews. Typical campgrounds often provide basic amenities such as designated campsites, restroom facilities (which may range from simple pit toilets to flush toilets with showers), and potentially water sources. Given that Camp Haven is primarily used for organized youth events, it likely has the infrastructure to support larger groups, including potentially a dining hall or communal kitchen area. However, the availability of these services for individual or non-affiliated groups would need to be confirmed directly with the management. Inquiries about waste disposal, fire pits or grilling areas, and potential access to electricity at campsites would also be important for anyone considering camping here outside of organized events.
The features of Camp Haven that are highlighted in the reviews are particularly noteworthy. The mention of a "ropes course, big swing and challenge course" indicates that the campground is equipped with specialized facilities designed for adventure-based learning and team-building activities. These features suggest a focus on providing engaging and challenging experiences for youth groups. The fact that participants found these activities "fun and challenging" and that they helped individuals "overcome their fears" speaks to the quality and impact of these facilities. The presence of "missionaries" who were "helpful and wonderful" also points to the type of support and guidance available during organized events. However, it is unclear whether these specific features and the support staff are available for general public use or are exclusive to the Church-organized youth activities. If you are interested in utilizing these specific facilities, direct inquiry with Camp Haven is necessary to understand their availability and any associated requirements or fees.
Given that Camp Haven is owned by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and is primarily used for their youth activities during the summer, the accessibility and services for the general public seeking "camping near me" might be limited or structured differently. It's possible that camping outside of these organized events is not permitted, or that specific guidelines and reservation procedures are in place. The focus on youth activities suggests that the campground might be particularly well-suited for large group bookings affiliated with the Church or similar organizations that could benefit from the existing facilities and the supportive environment described.
Promotional information for Camp Haven aimed at the general public is not available in the provided reviews. To understand if the campground is open for general camping, the booking procedures, the cost per night or per group, and any specific rules or regulations for non-affiliated campers, you would need to contact Camp Haven directly at the provided phone numbers: (801) 502-6768 or +1 801-502-6768. Inquiring about seasonal availability, especially given the mention of "the whole summer" being used for youth activities, is crucial. It would also be beneficial to ask about any potential restrictions on the type of camping (e.g., tent camping, RV camping), the size of groups allowed, and any required permits or waivers.
The positive reviews emphasize the beauty of the location and the positive experiences of youth participants with the adventure facilities and the support provided by missionaries. This suggests that Camp Haven offers a well-maintained and engaging environment for its intended purpose. However, for local users searching for "camping near me" for general recreational purposes, additional information regarding availability, services, and suitability is required. The unique ownership and primary usage model of Camp Haven likely differentiate it from privately owned or publicly managed campgrounds that are typically open to the general public on a more regular basis.
Therefore, if you are a local user in the Fairview, Utah area looking for "camping near me," Camp Haven might be an option worth exploring, especially if you are interested in group camping or if your group aligns with the types of activities the campground typically hosts. However, it is essential to directly contact Camp Haven to ascertain their policies regarding general public camping, the availability of campsites, the services and amenities offered to non-affiliated groups, and any associated costs or booking procedures. Understanding the campground's primary focus on youth activities will help you determine if it meets your specific camping needs and expectations.
In conclusion, Camp Haven in Fairview, Utah, offers a "beautiful place" with specialized facilities like a ropes course and challenge course, primarily catering to youth activities organized by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints during the summer. While the positive reviews highlight the engaging environment and supportive staff for these events, local users searching for general "camping near me" should contact Camp Haven directly at (801) 502-6768 or +1 801-502-6768 to inquire about availability, services, and suitability for individual or non-affiliated group camping. Understanding its primary purpose and potential limitations for general public use is crucial in determining if Camp Haven is the right choice for your camping needs.

Camp Haven Reviews
Beautiful place. The Camp Haven Campground belongs to The Church of Jesus Christ of Later Day Saints. The Campground is used during the whole summer for youth activities.
Dec 15, 2024 · Yolanda BoriThe ropes course, big swing and challenge course we’re all so fun and challenging. It was wonderful to see the girls overcome their fears. The missionaries were so helpful and wonderful to us!
Jul 04, 2021 · Janelle DayVisited as a leader for a church sponsored girls camp. Great amenities! Bathrooms were operating when we were there but sometimes i hear they are closed if not taken care of by guests. Hatchet throwing was unique, we also enjoyed archery, the ropes course and beach volleyball. Pavillions offered nice shade and plenty of seating at tables for meals and crafts. The firepit area was nicely stocked with wood and ready to use. No electricity but no big when you know not to expect it. Shade was around but also plenty of Meadow space for group games. Wonderful experience, the missionaries rock!
