For those passionate about fishing, the name "Fisherman Campground" certainly lives up to its promise. According to a recent review, particularly during trout season, "the fishing has been quite good with a couple nice ones pulled out in the 3-4 pound range." This suggests that the adjacent lake or waterway is well-stocked and provides a rewarding experience for anglers of all levels. The reviewer also noted the current weather conditions, mentioning that "it's cold though with the mountains and foothills covered in a beautiful blanket of white," emphasizing the need to "bring warm clothes" as "the trout like it cold." This seasonal insight allows potential campers to prepare accordingly for the prevailing conditions and the optimal fishing environment.

Beyond the immediate campsite, Fisherman Campground offers opportunities for exploration and recreation. The reviewer mentioned "walking along the dikes" and taking their "bike up some trails that are also very nice." This suggests the presence of well-maintained paths suitable for leisurely strolls and more active cycling, allowing campers to further immerse themselves in the natural surroundings and enjoy the landscape beyond their campsite.
The local wildlife adds another layer of charm to the Fisherman Campground experience. The reviewer noted, "Wild donkeys can be spotted near here and wild coyotes can be heard at night." Plenty of trees and walking paths, bon fire puts along the lake for cold nights, a Cafe with hot coffee n breakfast burritos. They have Sunday morning services. It's my second stay here and just driving in warms my heart. I love the tree lined entrance and walking along the dikes. I take my bike up some trails that are also very nice. Wild donkeys can be spotted near here and wild coyotes can be heard at night. Super peaceful place. ✌️
Dec 22, 2023 · vin3130their lake is too dirty, it is very small and their rate is very high for what they provide there is only one mobile toilet and it is dirty. I do not recommend it if what you are looking for is to leave stress behind
Oct 30, 2022 · Flor SaavedraPeace, tranquility and good fishing ! Nice overnight camping, good store with great hot dogs and slushees. Really good bbq, safe, fun place, excellent staff and management and a really clean park environment. Lakes are regularly stocked with different fish from all over depending on season. 5-10 minutes off the 60 or 10 freeways near Temescal Canyon or Redlands.
