Pine Hollow Campground - Pownal VERMONT Reviews
We stayed here in October (in a tent) as a base for leaf-peeping runs and were very happy with the facility. Wifi was functional enough and the bathrooms/shower facilities were super clean. It's in a very convenient location near Bennington and the Dollar General right up the road has everything you might need in a pinch. Dog friendly, and it was quite peaceful at night.
Oct 31, 2024 · Mario GutierrezThis is a beautiful campground with wonderful hosts! It was worth the few extra miles from the main highway. We arrived at night to a gracious host (Tom) who helped us fill our rv water tank before getting to our site. (We are traveling in November, so water has been shut off to campsites to prevent burst pipes from freezing). We had sewer and 50 Amp electric. He also allowed us to refill our tank upon exit.Firewood, snacks, trinkets, and some smaller rv supplies are sold onsite for reasonable prices.Very quiet, surrounded by woods and a beautiful lake. Free WiFi was provided, though it was a bit spotty. There was a bath house that we didn't utilize. Checkout is at 11am, so that gave us plenty of time in the morning. My little 11 lbs dog was allowed.Overall, a fantastic stay in a beautiful campground. Would definitely recommend.
Nov 03, 2024 · Tami BSWe stayed at Pine Valley campground in Pownal, Vt for 3 days. What a beautiful atmosphere. The pond anyone can swim or kayak in it. The pond is lit up at night. The owners are so friendly and so down to earth, as well as other campers. We shall be back soon. Dog friendly and beautiful area. We spacious big sites all away around the pond. Very neat and clean showers and laundry room.
Jul 22, 2024 · Nina ManfrediYou might have to work a little harder to find this cozy spot in Pownal Vermont, as the website is a bit glitchy. But this small, family fun campground around a pond is the perfect spot for travellers looking for a shady rest. The store is tiny, but has your basic needs. Our site was large and shady and backed up to the woods and a stream. We weren't too close to any of our neighbors, and the campground was pretty full, but quiet even in the middle of summer (end of July 2024). Your little ones can swim/wade in the pond and it seems there's fishing there too, but we just enjoyed the fireflies, the cool air and the chance to cook over a fire.Four stars instead of five because the bathhouse could have been cleaner - but kudos to the owner who was gracious and kind and very accommodating. I would definitely go back.
Jul 30, 2024 · Juliet BarrVery good old-fashioned campground. Not a lot for young kids, but the new owners who are very friendly and helpful are improving it all the time. This was our 4th one week visit in 2 years, and we will be back. Not all sites have full hook-ups.
