Avoid this place at all costs. We dealt with bed bugs from day one. Any maintenance issues are met with suspicions and accusations...not to mention the property manager walks around and enters your home with a gun on his hip. We reported our air conditioning being out in February when it was in the 90's here. He came and looked at it. He arranged for a window unit "borrowed from a neighbor" which was, according to the property manager, for "as long as it was out". Almost 3 weeks passed and we never saw a HVAC service tech or him for that matter. Due to this we withheld rent on the due date. The night the rent was due they came and said they had to have the window unit back. We assume the AC is getting fixed. All is good. Nope! The next day we got an eviction notice. We moved out 2 weeks later.I understand he had grounds to evict us for non-payment of rent but I wanted to put the real story out here so you all really know.DON'T RENT FROM THIS PLACE PLEASE! - Nick Pieroni

Ridgeview Mobile Home Park Introduce

For local users seeking information on "RV Parks Near Me" that might offer long-term residential options, or those specifically looking for a mobile home community in the Strawberry Plains, Tennessee area, it is crucial to carefully consider all available feedback. Ridgeview Mobile Home Park, located at 114 Ridge View Way, Strawberry Plains, TN 37871, USA, is a mobile home park that has received concerning reviews from former residents. While the platform category is "RV Parks Near Me," it is vital to understand that this community primarily serves as a residential area for mobile homes and potentially long-term RV stays, rather than short-term recreational vehicle parking.

The limited information available beyond the park's name, address, and contact details necessitates a close examination of the provided customer reviews. These reviews paint a stark picture of the living conditions and management practices at Ridgeview Mobile Home Park, and potential residents should be fully aware of these allegations.

One particularly alarming review strongly advises readers to "Avoid this place at all costs." The former resident recounts dealing with bed bugs from the very beginning of their tenancy. Furthermore, they allege that maintenance issues were met with suspicion and accusations rather than prompt resolution. A highly concerning detail is the claim that the property manager would walk around and enter residents' homes while openly carrying a gun on his hip. This behavior raises significant safety and privacy concerns for tenants.

The same reviewer details a critical maintenance issue involving their air conditioning being out in February, when temperatures reportedly reached the 90s. Despite reporting this, the resolution provided was a window unit "borrowed from a neighbor," intended to be a temporary fix. After nearly three weeks without any HVAC service technician or further communication from the property manager, the residents withheld rent. On the day rent was due, they were told the window unit needed to be returned, leading them to believe the AC would finally be repaired. However, the following day, they received an eviction notice. They subsequently moved out two weeks later.

While acknowledging the legal grounds for eviction due to non-payment of rent, the reviewer emphasized their desire to share the "real story" to inform potential tenants about their experiences. The overarching message is a strong recommendation against renting at Ridgeview Mobile Home Park.

Another review highlights significant safety concerns regarding the park entrance, describing it as "Extremely Dangerous!!" This lack of safety at the entrance poses a risk to all residents and visitors. The reviewer also mentions a "Poor Mama dog with pups wondering in the road," further underscoring potential safety issues within the park and a lack of attention to animal welfare. The reviewer suggests that the park "could be nice" if improvements were made to the entrance and if certain tenants, particularly those with the stray dogs, were addressed.

Based on these two reviews, it is impossible to provide a positive description of the environment, services, and features of Ridgeview Mobile Home Park. The feedback points to serious issues including pest infestations (bed bugs), unresolved and neglected maintenance problems (such as a non-functional AC for an extended period), alleged intimidating behavior by the property manager (carrying a gun and entering homes), and significant safety hazards (dangerous park entrance and stray animals). These allegations, if accurate, paint a picture of a community with significant challenges in terms of living conditions, management, and safety.

Typically, a mobile home park would be expected to provide basic infrastructure, such as maintained roads and utility hookups for residents' mobile homes or long-term RVs. Management would usually be responsible for addressing maintenance requests and ensuring a safe living environment. However, the reviews for Ridgeview Mobile Home Park directly contradict these expectations, alleging a failure to address critical maintenance needs and raising serious safety concerns.

Features of a mobile home park often include individual lots for residents, creating a sense of community. However, the negative experiences reported by former residents suggest that the potential benefits of this long-term living arrangement are severely undermined by the alleged poor management and unsafe conditions at Ridgeview Mobile Home Park.

No promotional information is available for Ridgeview Mobile Home Park based on the provided data. Given the severity of the issues raised in the reviews, it is unlikely that any positive promotional messaging would accurately reflect the experiences of at least some former residents.

For local users who might still be considering Ridgeview Mobile Home Park, perhaps due to a lack of other options or specific circumstances, it is absolutely essential to proceed with extreme caution. Any potential resident should:

  • Visit the park in person and meticulously inspect the conditions of the lots, common areas, and any available rental units.
  • Attempt to speak with current residents (if possible and safe to do so) to gain firsthand accounts of their experiences living in the community.
  • Directly and thoroughly question the management about their policies and procedures regarding maintenance requests, pest control, property access, and safety measures.
  • Verify the condition and safety of the park entrance.
  • Carefully review all terms of any lease agreement before signing, paying close attention to clauses related to maintenance responsibilities, eviction procedures, and safety protocols.
  • Consider seeking legal advice to understand their rights as tenants in Tennessee.

The strongly negative feedback from former residents serves as a significant warning. Potential residents should weigh these serious allegations carefully before deciding to reside at Ridgeview Mobile Home Park.

In conclusion, while Ridgeview Mobile Home Park in Strawberry Plains, TN, might appear as a potential option for those seeking residential "RV Parks Near Me" or mobile home living, the available customer reviews raise grave concerns about the living conditions, management practices, and safety within the community. Local users are strongly urged to exercise extreme caution, conduct thorough due diligence, and consider these serious allegations before making any decisions about residing at Ridgeview Mobile Home Park.
