Viking Villa Manufactured Home Community Introduce
Welcome to Viking Villa Manufactured Home Community, located at 433 E 980 N St, Ogden, UT 84404, USA. For individuals searching for 'RV parks near me', it's important to note that Viking Villa is primarily a manufactured home community, offering long-term residency for manufactured homes. While some mobile home parks may occasionally accommodate RVs, their focus is generally on providing a stable living environment for permanent or semi-permanent residents.
Based on the available customer reviews, Viking Villa Manufactured Home Community presents a complex picture with both historical context and significant concerns raised by former residents. One long-term perspective comes from an individual whose parents were among the first to move into the park in 1977. This reviewer notes that Viking Villa "used to be one of the best mobile homes parks in Ogden" and expresses sadness at its perceived decline in appearance over the years.
In stark contrast, another former resident shares a considerably negative experience, giving the park a "big fat 0 stars." This review raises several serious concerns. Firstly, it alleges that the property manager is frequently absent from the office, potentially causing difficulties for residents needing assistance or information. Secondly, the reviewer makes a grave accusation about the tow truck company used by the park, describing them as "a little bit racist." This is a serious allegation that warrants careful consideration for prospective residents. Lastly, the review highlights the extensive nature of the park's rules, stating, "If you like having 17 pages of rules to follow this might be the place for you. If not stay away..." This suggests a highly regulated living environment that may not be suitable for everyone.
The same reviewer also mentions affiliation with "RHP properties with AHP homes" and advises staying away from these as well, indicating broader concerns beyond just Viking Villa. This suggests that the management or ownership structure might be a contributing factor to the issues raised.
A subsequent response from the same former resident refers to a reply from "Viking Villa AHP Homes or RHP properties," indicating an attempt by the park management to address the initial negative review. However, the former resident states their unwillingness to call, citing the property manager's inaccessibility as one of their ongoing issues. This exchange underscores the communication challenges perceived by at least one former resident.
The former resident also provides specific details about their residency, including their former name and the address of their previous home within Viking Villa, spanning from 2012 to 2017. They also mention a personal tragedy, the death of their partner Thom, and their continued residency for another year afterward. The inclusion of this personal context adds weight to their long-term experience within the community.
Given the serious allegations and negative experiences shared in the reviews, prospective residents should exercise caution and conduct thorough due diligence before considering Viking Villa Manufactured Home Community. The contrast between the park's past reputation and the more recent negative feedback suggests a significant shift in the community's environment or management over time.
Due to the limited and concerning nature of the available information, it is impossible to provide details about the park's positive environment, services, or features. The reviews primarily focus on negative aspects related to management, rules, and alleged discriminatory behavior. Therefore, any potential introduction must heavily emphasize the need for prospective residents to investigate these concerns thoroughly.
To gain a more comprehensive understanding of the current situation at Viking Villa Manufactured Home Community, individuals should consider the following steps:
- Contact the Management Directly: Reach out to the park management at (801) 782-3360 or +1 801-782-3360 to inquire about their policies, rules, and response to the concerns raised in the reviews.
- Visit the Property: Conduct an on-site visit to assess the current appearance of the park and observe the general environment.
- Speak with Current Residents: If possible, try to speak with current residents to get their perspectives on the management, rules, and overall living experience.
- Inquire About Towing Policies: Specifically ask about the towing company used by the park and their procedures.
- Review the Park Rules: Request a copy of the complete park rules and regulations to understand the obligations and restrictions for residents.
Given the serious nature of the allegations made in the reviews, particularly the accusation of racism against the towing company, it is crucial for prospective residents to seek clarity and reassurance on these matters. The extensive rules also warrant careful review to ensure they align with the individual's lifestyle and preferences.
For local users in Ogden searching for 'RV parks near me', Viking Villa Manufactured Home Community may not be the most suitable option if you are looking for short-term or recreational vehicle accommodations. Its primary focus as a manufactured home community, coupled with the concerns raised by former residents, suggests that those seeking temporary RV stays should likely explore other dedicated RV parks in the Ogden area.
In conclusion, Viking Villa Manufactured Home Community in Ogden, UT, has a history dating back to 1977, with a former reputation as one of the best in the area. However, recent reviews raise significant concerns regarding the property manager's accessibility, the towing company's alleged racist behavior, and the extensive and potentially burdensome park rules. Prospective residents are strongly advised to conduct thorough due diligence and seek direct information from the park management and current residents before making any decisions about living in this community.

Viking Villa Manufactured Home Community Reviews
This used to be one of best mobile homes parks in Ogden. It's been sad to see it slowly go down in appearance since 1977 when my parents moved here. They was one of the first to move in back then.
Nov 25, 2024 · Ylonda GardnerI would like to give it a big fat 0 stars. The property manager is never in the office. The tow truck company they use seem to be a little bit racist. And OMG the rules! If you like having 17 pages of rules to follow this might be the place for you. If not stay away from this and all other RHP properties with AHP homes. In response to the reply from Viking Villa AHP Homes or RHP properties- Nope not going to call. That is one of my issues with you. I recently changed my first name. The contract was Thomas and Jaime Yearsely 940 N 550 E Viking Villa. We lived there for about 5 yrs 2012 to 2017 I am fine with this info being public because I have thankfully been able to move. Please check your records again. I have included a photo taken from my front porch a few days after Thom died. I lived there for another year after.
Jan 16, 2019 · Camilla YearsleyMost communities have a large animal policy, not here! If you have children be aware that several residence have large dogs and most cannot keep them contained letting them run the community and of course do their business everywhere but on there own property. Spoke with new manager about ongoing problems in the community and she stated she had only been there 3 months. She had no clue of the property or the layout much less the criminal / immoral activities surrounding the east entrance area of the park. Basically this community has had 7 managers in as many years and none have put forth "any effort" to clean up the community or vet its residence. Management has a not my job approach and the entire community has several code violations as well. If you want to live in a community full of drug dealers and gang members then this is the place for you. Also, any 5 Star rating as you will see has no comment which generally means they are employed or connected to the property management in someway.
Apr 02, 2024 · 277 CSRNice, quiet neighborhood. The manager, Diana, is awesome! It's a good option if you're unable to buy a house but I don't recommend living here forever. Lot rent goes up every year and I get more notices on my door for lawn/home maintenance than I ever did from the city when I rented a house. At least I own my mobile home and can have a down payment whenever we're ready to move.
Mar 12, 2021 · Piper KanoFancy name for an overpriced trailer park. Lot rent around $900 a month?! Talk about ridiculous. Save up your money and buy a home or piece of land to put a manufactured home on.
