Friendly Village of the Rockies Introduce
If you are searching for "RV parks near me" in the Thornton, Colorado area, Friendly Village of the Rockies, located at 2100 W 100th Ave, Thornton, CO 80260, is a manufactured home community that may offer long-term residency options. While primarily designed for manufactured homes, some such communities also accommodate recreational vehicles for extended periods. You can contact Friendly Village of the Rockies at (303) 466-4328 or +1 303-466-4328.
The available online reviews for Friendly Village of the Rockies offer a mixed but informative perspective on the community. One reviewer with past familiarity with the area, both as a delivery driver in 2000 and as a former resident nearby, describes it as "a nice place." This positive sentiment from someone with historical knowledge of the community suggests that Friendly Village of the Rockies has potentially maintained a positive reputation over time, at least in terms of general environment.
The second review provides more specific details about the current living conditions and policies. The reviewer mentions visiting a friend who lived there and notes a change in visitor parking rules. Previously, visitors were "required to park in visitor parking and walk down to her trailer." However, the rule has since changed, and now there is "no parking space for visitors at the trailers except along the sidewalk." This change in parking policy could be a significant consideration for those who frequently have guests. Limited visitor parking directly at the trailer or RV site might be inconvenient for both residents and their visitors.
On a more positive note, the second reviewer observes that "People do maintain the area very nicely." This aligns with the first reviewer's positive sentiment about the community being a "nice place" and suggests that residents take pride in the appearance and upkeep of their individual lots and the overall community. A well-maintained environment contributes to a more pleasant living experience for everyone, including those in RVs if long-term stays are permitted.
However, the second reviewer also points out a significant cost factor, stating that "Rent just went up to $1,000 a space. Way expensive." This substantial increase in space rent is a crucial piece of information for anyone considering Friendly Village of the Rockies for long-term residency, whether in a manufactured home or an RV. The perception of the rent being "way expensive" suggests that it might be higher compared to other similar communities or RV parks in the area. For those on a budget, this cost could be a major deterrent.
Based on the information available, Friendly Village of the Rockies appears to be a community where residents value and maintain the appearance of their surroundings. However, potential residents should be aware of the recent change in visitor parking rules, which might restrict on-site guest parking, and the reportedly high and recently increased space rent.
As a manufactured home community, Friendly Village of the Rockies likely offers standard infrastructure such as paved streets and utility hookups at each space (water, electricity, and possibly sewer or access to a community septic system). The size and layout of these spaces might vary. If the community accommodates RVs for long-term stays, it would be important to inquire about the suitability of the spaces for different RV sizes and the specific types of hookups available at those sites.
Information regarding specific services and amenities within Friendly Village of the Rockies is limited in the provided reviews. Typically, manufactured home communities may offer basic amenities such as laundry facilities or a community center, but this is not confirmed in the available feedback. The presence of recreational facilities like a playground or pet areas is also unknown. For those seeking "RV parks near me" with extensive amenities tailored to recreational vehicles, further inquiry would be necessary to determine if Friendly Village of the Rockies offers such features.
The location in Thornton, Colorado, provides access to the amenities and services of a large suburban city within the Denver metropolitan area. Thornton offers a wide range of shopping, dining, entertainment, and recreational opportunities. The "nice place" mentioned by the first reviewer could be partly attributed to the overall quality of life and access to conveniences offered by the Thornton area.
There is no promotional information available in the provided data. Potential residents would need to contact Friendly Village of the Rockies directly to inquire about current rates, availability, and any special offers that might be available.
For individuals searching for "RV parks near me" for a long-term stay in Thornton, Friendly Village of the Rockies presents a community with a seemingly positive environment maintained by its residents. However, the recent increase in space rent to a potentially high level and the restrictive visitor parking policy are important factors to consider. It would be essential to contact the management to determine if long-term RV stays are permitted, the specifics of the RV spaces and hookups, and to verify the current rental rates and all community rules and regulations.
In conclusion, Friendly Village of the Rockies in Thornton, CO, appears to be a well-maintained manufactured home community in a desirable location. Past and present observations suggest a generally "nice" environment. However, potential residents, including those seeking long-term RV stays, should carefully consider the reportedly high space rent and the visitor parking limitations. Direct communication with the management is crucial to obtain detailed information about RV accommodations, amenities, current pricing, and all community policies to determine if it meets their needs and budget.

Friendly Village of the Rockies Reviews
I didn't know that I still knew people that lived there. I used to deliver used Appliances to this place back in 2000. I used to also, live right down the street. So it is a nice place.
Jul 17, 2024 · Daniel L. GustafsonHad a friend that lived there. We were required to park in visitor parking and walk down to her trailer. That rule just changed. No parking space for visitors at the trailers except along the sidewalk. People do maintain the area very nicely. Rent just went up to $1,000 a space. Way expensive.

Mar 05, 2025 · Gabe PalominoPretty nice park, but the speed bumps on the southwest side are outta this world. You can CREEP over them and still hit the bottom of your car. BUT The rent keeps raising, it's been raised several times in 4 years. The pools are nice, still have issues with the lack of fencing, people randomly walking through your yard, people that just let their dogs out to run and go potty in anyone else's yard without cleaning it up. The no fence thing sucks, my son has been bitten by someone's dog free roaming, free roaming dogs have gone after my dog when I'm taking her potty (we don't go outside without a walking stick now for protection), if they would allow the yard to be fenced in again even with the small easily removed fence that just stakes in the ground, we wouldn't have any issues! Besides the speed bumps and the illogical no fencing rule (they don't mow for us or anything, so fencing wouldn't be an issue), if we do our own landscaping (including the trees) there is no reason we should not be able to put up temporary 24" or 30" tall fencing, if anyone needed in the yard they can easily step over it. Other than that, the office staff are nice and will try to work with you if you have issues. Sometimes their hands are tied too but they actually seem to understand the complaints etc.
Apr 09, 2024 · MoonEyed MommaFrankly, I feel bullied by management. They take pictures of your space without consent and use them to harras you. They constantly raise your rent or water bill. It can't be right for anyone to be bulling us in our own homes. And making us feel worried in our own rented space. I was happy living here almost 10years ago when I first bought my home but now I can't even open my window curtains for fear of them taking pictures. Despicable!
