Oak Springs Introduce
If you are searching for "RV parks near me" with a focus on long-term residential options, it's important to consider the broader category of mobile home parks, which often provide a stable and community-oriented living environment. While not strictly an RV park for temporary stays, Oak Springs, located at 12 Highland St, Sorrento, FL 32776, USA, offers a residential setting that may appeal to individuals seeking a longer-term housing solution in a community atmosphere. You can reach Oak Springs at (352) 383-5973 or +1 352-383-5973 for inquiries.
The Environment of Oak Springs:
Based on resident feedback, Oak Springs is described as a beautiful place characterized by a relatively quiet environment, away from the noise of busy roads. This tranquility can be a significant draw for those seeking a peaceful residential setting. Notably, the park's environment is conducive to observing local wildlife, with residents frequently spotting beautiful creatures such as deer and sandhill cranes. This connection with nature adds to the appeal for those who appreciate a more natural and serene living space.
Resident Experiences and Considerations:
While one resident expressed enjoyment in living at Oak Springs for the past year, highlighting its beauty, quiet surroundings, and fair rent considering its proximity to their workplace, another review presents a contrasting experience. This feedback mentions a lack of water availability during a time when it was needed for an important appointment, coupled with a perceived lack of communication from the management regarding this issue. The resident contrasted this with previous management practices where notices were reportedly provided more consistently. This suggests that while some residents appreciate the environment and location, there may be concerns regarding communication and service reliability.
The review also touches upon the use of social media for community updates, noting that not all residents may use Facebook and expressing concerns about the tone of discussions on the park's page. This indicates that communication methods and community interactions might be areas for potential improvement to ensure all residents are well-informed and feel included.
Furthermore, the resident expressed a sentiment that current management does not operate with the same level of service or responsiveness that was experienced under previous management many years ago. This perspective highlights the importance of consistent and effective management in maintaining resident satisfaction within a mobile home park community.
Services and Features:
Based on the limited information available in the provided reviews, specific services and features of Oak Springs are not extensively detailed. However, the mention of a laundry facility indicates that basic amenities for residents are present within the park. It's reasonable to assume that, as a mobile home park, Oak Springs provides essential infrastructure such as water and possibly other utilities to its residents. However, the negative review regarding the lack of water service at a critical time raises questions about the reliability of these essential utilities and the communication surrounding any disruptions.
The reference to a "rec hall" and "convenience store" in the positive review of The Preserve at Umatilla RV Park (provided in the initial prompt, but not directly related to Oak Springs) suggests that some parks in the broader category of residential or RV parks may offer such amenities. However, there is no direct confirmation of these specific features being available at Oak Springs based on the provided reviews.
To gain a comprehensive understanding of the services and features offered at Oak Springs, prospective residents would need to inquire directly with the management. This would include details about utility provisions, waste management, community areas (if any), maintenance services, and any specific rules or regulations of the park.
Promotional Information:
The provided information does not include any specific promotional details for Oak Springs. Typically, mobile home parks may offer incentives such as reduced lot rent for a certain period, assistance with the move-in process, or other benefits to attract new residents. Interested individuals should contact the park management directly at (352) 383-5973 or +1 352-383-5973 to inquire about any current promotions or special offers.
Summary and Considerations for Potential Residents:
Oak Springs in Sorrento, Florida, appears to offer a residential environment with the potential for a peaceful and nature-filled living experience, as highlighted by one long-term resident. The quiet surroundings and frequent wildlife sightings can be attractive features for those seeking a tranquil setting. Additionally, the rent was described as fair in relation to the resident's commute.
However, it's crucial for potential residents to consider the concerns raised in the other review. The issues regarding water service disruption and perceived inadequate communication from management are important factors to evaluate. The reliance on Facebook for community updates may also be a limitation for those who do not use the platform.
To make an informed decision, individuals interested in residing at Oak Springs should:
- Contact the management directly to inquire about current lot rental rates, utility provisions, and other essential services.
- Ask about the park's policies regarding communication with residents, especially concerning service disruptions.
- Inquire about any community amenities or facilities available within the park.
- If possible, visit the park to assess the environment and the condition of the facilities firsthand.
- Consider speaking with current residents (if feasible) to gain a broader perspective on the living experience at Oak Springs.
While Oak Springs may offer an appealing natural environment and a sense of community for some, it is essential for prospective residents to weigh the positive aspects against the potential challenges highlighted in the available feedback and to conduct thorough due diligence before making a decision.

Oak Springs Reviews
I have really enjoyed living here for the past year, and I think that it’s a beautiful place without a lot of noisy roads. I quite often see a good amount of beautiful wildlife such as deer and sand hill cranes. I would say the rent is fair, too, considering the distance from where I work.
May 01, 2024 · Grinko BabaWent to do laundry then a shower for a doctor appointment, and no water!!No notice was ever put on our door like when Todd was manager or Angila. They don't care enough to get off their lazy butts and deliver. Not everyone does Facebook and is to much bigoted people on the oak springs page.Again you still can't do what management used to do 13 years ago!!!!
Apr 10, 2025 · E. Patrick ZwahlenWe live at the south end of the park, used to be very quiet, now the toll road is sooo loud and annoying in the mornings now.Among other issues, they just don't know it, yet!!!
Jan 27, 2025 · Robin ChumbleyLiving in Oak Springs Community has been an absolute delight! From the moment I moved in, I've felt welcomed by the friendly neighbors and the warm atmosphere. The grounds are always beautifully landscaped, making every walk around the neighborhood feel like a breath of fresh air. The amenities, like the pool and clubhouse, are perfect for unwinding and connecting with neighbors. What truly sets Oak Springs apart, though, is the sense of community fostered here. It's more than just a place to live – it's a place to call home. I couldn't imagine living anywhere else!
